Modrinth Description
Weighted Armors adds a weight system for armor, classifying armor as either light, medium or heavy. Wearing heavier armor, you will be slower and will fall faster, but wearing light armor, you will be a bit faster.
By default, heavy armor provides a -5% speed debuff per armor piece, very heavy armor provides a -10% speed debuff, medium armor provides no speed changes, light armor provides a +5% speed buff and very light armor provides a +10% speed buff.
Iron and netherite armor are considered heavy armor, diamond is considered medium, while gold, chainmail and leather are considered light armor.
The armor weight system is fully configurable and data-driven.
- Speed and gravity impacts can be modified in the mod's config. Gravity impacts can be disabled completely.
- Armor weight classification is determined based on tags. Untagged armor is considered medium armor by default. Add an armor piece to the following tags to classify its weight:
weighted_armors:very_light,weighted_armors:light,weighted_armors:heavy,weighted_armors:very_heavy. - Alternatively, instead of a per-piece speed classification, weight can be determined based on the heaviest piece worn. This can be enabled in the mod's config.
