Description

Wheel of Fortune (Glücksrad)

Right-click a wheel, watch it spin for five seconds and win whatever the pointer lands on: diamonds, a totem, an elytra, a random item from any installed mod … or a zombie ambush.

Every wheel has 32 fields and comes in four tiers. The cheaper the recipe, the riskier the wheel.

Four tiers

Wheel Recipe Jackpots Random Bad luck & blanks
Wooden ★☆☆☆ 1 planks + 1 stick 1 5 11 of 32
Iron ★★☆☆ Wooden Wheel + 4 iron ingots 2 6 8 of 32
Golden ★★★☆ Iron Wheel + 4 gold ingots 3 8 5 of 32
Diamond ★★★★ Golden Wheel + 4 diamonds 5 8 4 of 32

To upgrade, put the previous wheel in the middle of a crafting table and the 4 materials around it in a plus shape. You can't skip a tier.

The prizes grow with the tier too. The diamond jackpot goes from 2 to 3, 5 and finally 8 diamonds, and the Diamond Wheel can pay out a netherite ingot, an elytra, two totems or max-level enchanted books. The wooden, iron and golden wheels each have an upgrade field that gives you a wheel of the next tier.

What's on the wheel

  • Gold – Jackpot: diamonds, Totem of Undying, Enchanted Golden Apple, netherite, elytra
  • Pink – Random: items picked from the entire item registry (see below)
  • Green – Great: XP levels, an upgrade wheel, two extra wheels, golden apples, ender pearls, emeralds, full heal, lucky charm (Speed, Haste, Luck)
  • Blue – Good: iron, gold, steak, redstone, lapis, torches, coal, bread, arrows
  • Purple – Funny: chicken rain, rocket launch, a harmless lightning strike, fireworks show
  • Red – Bad luck: zombie ambush, skeleton visit, hunger, blindness, nausea, mining fatigue, slowness, a short poison that can't kill you
  • Grey – Blank: nothing at all

Random items

The pink fields pick from every item in the game, including items from other mods you have installed. Admin and technical items (command blocks, barriers, bedrock, spawners) and spawn eggs are left out. While the wheel spins, their icons keep flipping through random items. When it stops, you see exactly what you won.

Easy to get

  • Every player gets 3 Wooden Wheels on their first join, in existing worlds too.
  • A Wooden Wheel costs one plank and one stick.
  • Chests in dungeons, mineshafts, villages, temples, shipwrecks and outposts can contain wooden and iron wheels.
  • Treasure chests in bastions, end cities, ancient cities and woodland mansions can contain golden and diamond wheels.
  • All four wheels are in the Tools creative tab.

Features

  • Animated spin screen with a ticking sound; the field under the pointer is shown in the middle of the wheel
  • The result appears in chat, and you can hover over won items to see their tooltip
  • Jackpots are announced to every player on the server
  • The server decides the result, so it works in multiplayer and can't be cheated from the client
  • Closing the screen with ESC doesn't cost you the prize, and if you log out mid-spin you get it when you join again
  • No griefing: no field destroys blocks, the lightning is cosmetic and fireworks only launch under open sky
  • The item tooltip shows each wheel's quality, jackpots and bad luck fields
  • Languages: English and German
