Wings Reborn Refitted is an unofficial compatibility-focused fork of Wings Reborn for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.

It fixes wing rendering issues caused by Oculus and Embeddium while preserving the original models, textures, animations, flight mechanics, items, and gameplay.

## Features

- Fixes missing or incorrectly rendered avian feathers with Oculus.
- Compatible with Embeddium's optimized entity rendering.
- Preserves the original appearance and animations of every wing.
- Adds a properly registered and configurable flight key.
- Includes English and French control translations.
- Does not require the original Wings Reborn JAR.

The compatibility fix only changes the rendering path used by the wings. Other entities can continue using Embeddium's optimized rendering.

## Flight control

The default flight key is U.

It can be changed normally from:

Options > Controls > Key Binds > Wings

The old hidden flight shortcut has been disabled to prevent double activation.

## Installation

1. Install Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge.
2. Place this mod in the `mods` folder.
3. Install Embeddium and Oculus when shader support or optimized rendering is required.

Do not install Wings Reborn Refitted and the original Wings Reborn at the same time.

## Compatibility

Designed for:

- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.x
- Embeddium 0.3.31
- Oculus 1.8.0

Oculus and Embeddium are optional. The mod can also operate without them.

The patch has been tested with Forge 47.4.10, Embeddium 0.3.31 and Oculus 1.8.0.

I’m open to discussing any issues that occur on newer or older versions, as well as bugs or compatibility problems involving other mods.
