Description

Re-imagining the world of Minecraft by filling it with diverse, tameable dragons that roam the new and beautiful worlds awaiting to be explored by those who dare to venture into such territories, where magic advances beyond enchanting, This, Is Wyrmroost.

Wyrmroost aims to add several diverse dragons which can be tamed and utilized for players and their needs. Whether it be for combat, farming, transportation, you name it. There's probably a dragon for it.
But beware, taming a dragon isn't an easy feat. You will find befriending such a creature will take hard work and dedication, depending on the dragon and situation.

Can you update/backport to ____?

Updating takes time. Wyrmroost will continue to try and stay on latest versions of minecraft, however please be patient! We are looking towards the future, so backporting the mod will never happen and your questions to backport will not be answered.

Where's the dimension and what are your plans for it?

The dimension is not in the mod yet and will be very soon hopefully. We want to aim for a dragon's world with our own unique blocks, items, and most importantly, dragons. There is no ETA on when we will see this update, but please stay tuned. Until then, enjoy our content!

Wyrmroost aims to add many unique and diverse dragon species, which can be tamed and utilized for players and their needs. Whether it be for combat, farming, transportation, you name it. There's probably a dragon for it.

But beware, taming a dragon isn't an easy feat. You will find befriending such a creature will take hard work and dedication, depending on the dragon and the situation.

Our mod currently only has a few dragons implemented, however in the future updates we will have eight different types of dragons. You can check the wiki to find more information about the species currently in-game.

We are aware that in the older versions of the mod the dragons cannot breed. We will not be returning to the .16 version, however a kind person has made this patch:

We have an official wiki that is updated by the developers only.

Can you update/backport to ____?

The dimension is not in the mod yet. It will be the next major update following the port to 1.18.2.

We want to aim for a dragon's world with our own unique blocks, items, and most importantly, dragons. While we can not give an ETA you can follow our progress in the dedicated Discord server where we are most active.

Can I use Wyrmroost in my modpack?

We have no issues with people using our mod in modpacks.

The Banner

A rainbow of friends. Your collectable friends come in many colours.
Beach Flocks Silver gliders are commonly found on beaches sunbathing or socialising.
Flight of gliders. Silver gliders spend most of their life in the air. Their long narrow wings allow them to stay aloft with minimal effort.
Inland gliders. Due to their habit of staying on the wing they can end up in land and have known to be pests.
A farmers friend. Despite making their home in jungle areas the Dragonfruit drake is known to boost plant production.
Daytime naps. Much like cats Dragonfruit drakes like to sleep during the day being more active at night.
Basking. When awake during the day Dragonfruit drakes love to bask in the sun.
Plains drakes. The overworld drake's colour changes depending on the kind of plain it was born in. Only two are known at this point in time.
Drake herds. Family herds of drakes can be found in the plains. They are territorial creatures who will give warning roars before attacking.
Plains defence. Drakes use their powerful horns to gore foes and dug up food.
Savannah drakes. The only other known type of drakes. These ones have adapted to life in the savannahs leading to their colour becoming yellower.
Same temperament Despite the change in home both types of plains drakes show the same types of behaviours.
Sun of the savannah. The drakes of the savannah get to enjoy the warmth of the sun compared to their cooler temperate brethren.
Flight of the Alpines. Alpines are dragons that spend a majority of their life in high, cold altitudes. Their feathers cover parts of their body for warmth.
Call of the mountains. Flocks of Alpines can be heard calling to each other over great distances. When ever one makes a call if any others are near you can guarantee a response will happen.
Mountain flocks. Sometimes Alpines will land to both preen themselves and rest.
Leviathan of the deep. Deep within the sees the lords of thunder unrivalled by any other lurk waiting for the storms of their home.
Bane of boats. Butterfly Leviathans are ambush predators and have been known to hunt down boats.
Leaping leviathans. In the distance Butterfly leviathans can be seen jumping from water. It is unknown why they do this maybe it is just for fun.
Sapphire flames. The blue fire of the Royal red is known to be the hottest of any dragon ever recorded. It is said that where it originated from it was able to burn through magic.
Queen of the skies. The female Royal reds are bigger then the males. They are also tougher due to their sheer size.
A royal bargain. Named for their colour these dragons also respect power. Best them in a fight and give them an offering they may just join you.
Sunbathing Canari's like to sunbath on the tops of trees.
In the trees. Canari dragons are social dragons who are more adept to life in the trees.
A dragon and its coin. Coin Dragons are content to just sit in place with their precious coins.
A little treasure. Coin dragons are found in mineshaft chests as items.
Lesser Desertwyrm in hiding A Lesser Desertwyrm lays in wait for prey drawn to the water for a drink.
A group of Wyrms Lesser Desertwyrms regularly group together to both increase their chances of food and survival/
A Wyrm emerges. Lesser Desertwyrms do not spend all of their life beneath the sands only most.
A lone stalker. Roost stalkers are common egg thieves found in packs.
A pack of stalkers. Roost stalkers are naturally social creatures forming packs that will swarm anyone who attacks them.
Chicken hunt. Despite eating mainly eggs Roost stalkers are opportunists who will attack smaller animals for food.
Swampy bois. Canari dragons are found in swamps, while they can't swim they will be seen walking about.
