Overview
This mod enhances player customization and visual fidelity in Minecraft 1.20.1. It focuses on two primary improvements: a dedicated equipment slot for banners and a significant upgrade to shield aesthetics.

The Banner Slot
By integrating with the Curios API, this mod adds a unique slot to the player inventory. Equipping a banner here renders it directly above the player head. This provides a clear visual indicator for leaders, faction members, or explorers without occupying the offhand or helmet positions. 

Texture Restoration
A major highlight of this mod is the fix for banner textures on shields. In the vanilla game, shield patterns often suffer from downscaling and loss of detail. This mod restores that lost quality by defining high resolution textures that match the block banners.
