Description

Information

This series took place from February 1, 2026 to March 15, 2026 lasting a total of seven sessions.

This modpack was created by Mat0u5, with Yearbound being built into his other mod that recreates the Life Series one-to-one, please go check out his mod!

The most important of command is: "/lifeseries config", which options a menu of configuration that can be adjusted and switched that will impact the season. The server side is only seenand operational by those with operation permissions whilst the client side features many quality of life features for all players.

Lives

Each player rolls a random number of lives — between 4 and 8 on their first session. By having seven or more lives their name would be aqua (you will need to set this up with teams), six through four are dark green, three as lime, two being yellow and one as red.

Calamities

During the beginning of each session, a new calamity will occur which adds, removes or changes the fundamental aspect of gameplay. The calamities would provide the current year (in the future and in a chronological manner) as well as the title of the event and a riddle hinting at what will occur.

Roles

The session will randomly assign roles to players after the calamity for the session starts. There are four possibles roles that can be given out, those being: Breacher, Remnant, Vessel, and least importantly, Nothing. There is no guaranteed role. The server will select between a mimimum of zero and maximum of two Remnants and Vessels. Likewise; while not guaranteed to be, there will always be a maximum of one Breacher. Those who are on red or their last life will always receive the role "Nothing".

  • Breacher ★ The Breacher must secure a non-direct player-versus-player kill on someone on three or more lives by the end of the session. Upon completing their directive they must use the command "/cure" with the username of the player they killed to take another life from said player adding up for a total of two lives lost. Seconds after the roles have passed there will be a message broadcasted throughout the entire server: "There has been a breach into the timeline into the current year." With this, it states that players can vote upon via the "/vote" command (with a username following it) on who they believe the Breacher is.

  • Remnant ★ The Remnant will be randomly linked to another non-red player, if this player were to die their link to the Remnant would cause them to die as well but not vice versa, it is a one-sided bind. If the person who the Remnant is connected to dies then the Remnant will be randomly linked to another non-red player. This will continue until either the Remnant drops to their last life, there are no more eligible players for the Remnant to link to or the session ends.

  • Vessel ★ The Vessel will be given the name of a random non-red player to which it is in their best interest to protect this player for the entirety of the session. If the name of the given player does encounter danger whether environmental or brought on by another player, they are allowed to defend them regardless of being their teammate or not. If the Vessel does succeed in protecting their defendee all session, they will receive a life as reward. On the other hand, failure will lead to them losing a life instead. The lives are updated only at the end of the session.

  • Nothing ★ Like the name suggests, this role has nothing to it. There are no goals to complete throughout or by the end of the session.

Requirements

Fabric API is required to run this mod, there are no other mod dependencies — although Simple Voice Chat is recommended, directly stated by Mat in his words on his own mods' page (again, check it out!
