Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters brings the real Trading Card Game into Minecraft: an accurate card catalogue, a genuine Deck-building loop, and 1v1 duels that follow actual TCG rules — turn structure, chains, trap responses, and all.

What's inside

A real catalogue — 1,350+ cards

Every card is modeled individually: correct ATK/DEF, Attribute, Type, Level, and effect text, spanning Normal, Effect, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Link monsters as well as Spells and Traps. The catalogue runs from the original game through the Ancient Sanctuary expansion, picking up the TCG's release order exactly where it left off — no reprints, no cards out of place.

15 preconstructed Structure & Starter Decks

Every Structure and Starter Deck is built from its real-world card list, pulled straight from the product and completed to a legal 40-card Deck when the mod's catalogue allows. Grab one and duel immediately, no deckbuilding required.

The Deck Box

Craft or find a Deck Box to build your own Decks: a 40+ card Main Deck, an Extra Deck for Fusion/Synchro/Xyz/Link monsters, and a 15-card Side Deck to swap between rounds of a match. Empty boxes can also be auto-filled with a random legal Deck from the catalogue with a single click.

Real duels, not a simplified mini-game

Duel at a crafted Duel Table for a proper 1v1, or equip a Duel Disk to challenge any player, anywhere — no table required. Matches follow full TCG turn structure: Draw, Main Phase 1, Battle Phase, Main Phase 2, End Phase, with Normal and Special Summons, Fusion and Ritual Summoning, and position changes handled correctly.

Most importantly: chains work. Activate a Spell or Trap and your opponent gets a genuine response window — Counter Traps, Quick-Play Spells and reactive Traps like Mystical Space Typhoon can interrupt you mid-activation, exactly like the paper game.

Best-of-1, Best-of-3 or Best-of-5 match formats are supported, with a Side Deck exchange between rounds — the host picks the format before the first Duel starts.

Solo play against an AI opponent

No second player online? Duel solo against the built-in Duel Bot to test a new Deck, learn the ropes, or just play a round on your own.

Cards as loot, tuned to your server

Structure Decks, booster-style pulls and rare single cards drop naturally while exploring and fighting. Every drop rate — rare-card chance, booster chance, Structure Deck chance, and boss-monster bonus drops — is adjustable in-game with the /yugioh drops command, so server owners can dial the grind up or down without editing config files by hand.

Getting started

  • Craft a Duel Disk or a Duel Table from the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" creative tab.
  • Get a Deck Box — craft one, find one in the world, or open the creative tab — and either build your own Deck or auto-fill it from the catalogue.
  • Challenge a friend with the Duel Disk (both players need one), or right-click the Duel Table together to start a match.
  • No one around? Sneak + right-click with an empty hand to start a solo Duel against the Duel Bot.
