# Kagehara Megas

Give familiar Pokémon a new identity with six custom Mega Evolutions for Cobblemon!

Kagehara Megas adds distinctive models, expressive animations, custom abilities, shiny palettes, and craftable Mega Stones. From Ceruledge’s flowing spectral ribbons to Hisuian Typhlosion’s blue ghostfire, each Mega has its own visual style and battle role.

## Meet the Megas

- **Mega Haxorus — Dragon/Steel:** An armored physical attacker with **Executioner’s Edge**. Contact moves become slicing moves, and slicing moves receive a 30% power boost.
- **Mega Hydreigon — Dark/Dragon:** A three-headed powerhouse with **Dread Sovereign**, lowering opposing active Pokémon’s Special Attack by one stage when it enters battle or Mega Evolves.
- **Mega Noivern — Ghost/Dragon:** A spectral sound-based attacker with **Haunting Resonance**, converting damaging Normal-type sound moves into Ghost-type moves.
- **Mega Mimikyu — Ghost/Fairy:** An unleashed special attacker with **Unraveled**. Once per battle, Mega Evolution lowers opposing active Pokémon’s Attack and Special Attack by one stage. If its Disguise was still intact, Mimikyu also gains one Special Attack stage.
- **Mega Hisuian Typhlosion — Fire/Ghost:** A ghostfire specialist with **Soul Pyre**. Special Fire- and Ghost-type moves deal 25% more damage against burned targets, and its move-based burn effects can burn Fire types. Other burn protections still apply.
- **Mega Ceruledge — Fire/Ghost:** A swift spectral swordsman with **Spectral Edge**. Contact moves become slicing moves, while all slicing moves receive a 25% power boost and no longer make contact.

## Features

- Six custom Mega models with normal and shiny textures.
- Custom battle idles, attack animations, and move-specific animations.
- Animated ghostfire, spectral ribbons, floating wisps, and emissive details.
- Blue Eruption effects exclusive to Mega Hisuian Typhlosion.
- Custom shiny designs, including **Eclipse Inferno Typhlosion** and **Ashen Crimson Ceruledge**.
- Six craftable Mega Stones with Nether Star recipes.
- Integration with Mega Showdown’s Mega Evolution system.

## Crafting Mega Stones

Every stone uses:
- **1 Nether Star** in the center.
- **4 Amethyst Shards** in the corners.
- **4 thematic ingredients** in the remaining slots.

The thematic ingredients are:
- **Haxorusite:** Iron Blocks
- **Hydreigonite:** Crying Obsidian
- **Noivernite:** Echo Shards
- **Mimikyunite:** Phantom Membranes
- **Hisuian Typhlosionite:** Soul Sand
- **Ceruledgite:** Netherite Scraps

Obtaining a Nether Star unlocks the recipes in the recipe book. Mega Evolution still requires Mega Showdown’s trainer equipment and follows its normal battle restrictions.

## Requirements

This build targets:
- **Minecraft 1.21.1**
- **Fabric**
- **Java 21**
- **Cobblemon 1.8.2**
- **Mega Showdown 1.3.1 for Cobblemon 1.8.2**
- Compatible versions of **Fabric API**, **Fabric Language Kotlin**, **Architectury API**, and **Accessories**, including their required dependencies.

Install Kagehara Megas and its dependencies on both the client and server. No separate resource pack is required. This release is Fabric-only.

## Testing and Feedback

The current 1.5.0 release candidate is a testing build. Back up your world before updating, and remove older Kagehara Megas JARs before installing a new version.

When reporting an issue, please include your mod versions, whether shaders are enabled, the affected Pokémon or move, and screenshots or relevant logs.

Kagehara Megas is an unofficial fan-made addon, not an official Cobblemon release.
