Description

ZN9IK Circular Menu

Replaces Minecraft's ESC pause menu with a clean, glass-style circular menu. Transparent segments, thin outlines, and your world stays visible behind it.

Features

  • Circular layout. Every pause-menu button becomes a segment of the ring: Back to Game, Advancements, Statistics, Options, Open to LAN, Save and Quit, and more.
  • Real vanilla actions. Segments are the actual vanilla buttons, so nothing is faked. Options opens the real Options screen and returns you to the circular menu.
  • Works with other mods automatically. Buttons added to the pause menu by other mods (recording, replay, mod lists, utilities) are detected and added to the ring. Their original click behaviour, sound and enabled/disabled state are kept. No configuration needed.
  • Shows which mod a button belongs to. Hover a button from another mod and its name appears in the centre of the ring.
  • Smooth animations. Hovered segments pop out slightly and brighten, clicks give a small press effect, and the menu fades in and out.
  • Keyboard support. Arrow keys or Tab to move, Enter or Space to activate, ESC to close.
  • Safe fallback. Widgets that cannot be placed on a ring (sliders, text boxes) are never dropped. A Classic Menu segment opens the untouched vanilla pause menu. If anything fails, the vanilla menu is used instead.
  • Resource pack friendly. The ring is drawn independently of textures and uses Minecraft's normal font.
  • Client-side only. Servers do not need the mod, and it sends no network packets.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.1, 26.1.1 or 26.1.2
  • Fabric Loader
  • Fabric API
  • Java 25

Compatibility

Mods that draw their own pause-menu UI (for example Essential) are left in their default look and are not moved into the ring.

Compatibility with other mods is best-effort, not universal. Mods that rely on hardcoded button positions or use their own pause screen class may not appear in the ring. If a mod's button is missing or behaves wrongly, please report it with the mod name and your latest.log.

Known limitations

  • Tooltips on ring buttons are not shown yet.
  • The fade-out only plays when closing with ESC.
  • The centre shows "ZN9IK" instead of a player head.
