About

Description

Chunk Loader is a lightweight, survival-friendly Minecraft mod that lets you keep important chunks loaded even when you are far away.

Features

  • Use /chunkloader on to load the chunk you are currently standing in.

  • Use /chunkloader off to disable the chunk loader in your current chunk.

  • Chunk loaders continue working while you are away from the area.

  • Designed to be lightweight and minimize server lag.

  • Supports multiple chunk loaders.

  • Chunk loaders persist through server restarts.

  • Survival-friendly limits help prevent excessive chunk loading.

  • Simple commands and minimal configuration.

Offline Simulation

The mod also includes an offline simulation system designed to simulate certain changes that could have happened while the server was offline.

When the server shuts down, the mod records the time. When it starts again, it calculates how much real-world time has passed and attempts to apply appropriate changes to supported mechanics.

⚠️ Important: The offline simulation feature is currently experimental and may not work correctly or may not be fully implemented. Crops, furnaces, redstone, mobs, and other mechanics may not accurately simulate their offline progress.

The normal chunk loader functionality and the rest of the mod are expected to work properly regardless of the offline simulation feature.

Performance

The mod is designed to avoid unnecessary ticking and excessive resource usage. It uses Minecraft's native chunk-loading functionality where possible and avoids keeping chunks loaded when the server itself is completely offline.

Please report any bugs or unexpected behavior so the mod can be improved!
