About
Description
This modpack is inspired by RL Craft but has a low-tech/magic end-game. A major gripe I had with RL Craft was the lack of an end-game, there was nothing to strive towards except surviving and killing the next boss. I prefer gameplays that allow you to slowly settle and conquer your environment through hard work. Coming from FTB Revelations I was annoyed at how many tech mods were in the game, the best mods were overshadowed by overpowered tech that could "end-game" you within a week of playtime.
I created Adventure Craft to blend the tech/magic world with RL Craft. The core mods reflect RL Craft's insane difficulty in the early game, but give you low-tech (realistic) and magical avenues to conquer your surroundings with powerful (yet not OP) tools. This modpack features Immersive engineering and other addons as the sole tech mod for the simple purpose that it provides a hard yet semi-realistic "steampunk" style tech progression. There is no high-tech mods in this pack, no Applied Energistics, Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, or Flux Networks. There are also no staple mods like ender storage, barrels, or iron chests. This modpack adds tech, but only in the original inspiration of realism.
You'll also find magic mods like Thaumcraft, Botania, Roots, and Astral Sorcery. No longer are these mods overlooked because of better high-tech alternatives, but now they actually mean something to the gameplay.
Mine Colonies also makes an entrance into this pack as a way to establish your presence and promote collaboration and trade on servers.
You'll find even more dangers in this pack, not only can dragons lay waste to your kingdom but natural disasters like tornados and high winds can rip off roofs and animals from your homestead.
One of the things I wanted most was a realistic world with real mountains, thanks to a mod called realistic world generation the default singleplayer map generator will create stunning landscapes compatible with all the extra biome and exploration mods in this pack.
