Antiqua is a structure-free survival modpack that brings back the classic feel of Minecraft 1.0/1.1 while adding subtle quality-of-life improvements, linear progression, and seasonal immersion. The 10,000 × 10,000 block world features adjusted biomes, natural rocks, moss stone, and carefully scaled ores from stone to adamantite, with redstone and gold removed and lapis limited to the Nether. Farming depends on seasons, wild turnips supplement classic crops, and meat is unified visually, while hunger, XP, offhand slots, and fast swimming are removed to maintain the original challenge. Tools and armor progress linearly with durability scaling, mobs can spawn with bronze-to-adamantite gear, and unique mechanics like the Cinder/Ruined Sword system, ore bricks, calendars, clipboards, and new flowers provide both utility and aesthetic depth. The UI preserves 1.0 panoramas with a custom title screen displaying “Antiqua,” subtle sounds, and slightly opaque water, while combat, bows, and achievements retain their classic charm. Multiplayer is fully supported via a friend system, PvP is optional, and the gameplay arc—from stone maul to legendary adamantite gear—is designed for clear, meaningful exploration, mining, crafting, and combat progression.
