About

Description

I'm working on a sequel to this mod pack, which will be much cleaner, tidier, more updated, and even more balanced. It will be called ARANCINO'S GENTLE JOURNEY 2.

Arancino’s Gentle Journey is a peaceful and relaxing Minecraft modpack focused on exploration, beautiful biomes, wildlife, and calm progression; recommended to play on a saturday night when it rains and enjoy all it has to offer.

The core experience is designed to be calm and atmospheric: travel through diverse landscapes, discover new creatures, build cozy bases, and enjoy a sunny, low-pressure world.

Light RPG elements are present, but combat is not the main focus. Bosses and stronger enemies exist as optional challenges rather than constant threats, allowing players to progress at their own pace and face dungeons and bosses whenever they want; without following linear progressions.

The world is enriched with many immersive and utility-focused structures, designed to blend naturally into exploration rather than interrupt it. These structures provide resources, shelter, and points of interest, rewarding curiosity instead of forcing combat.

Wildlife plays an important role throughout the pack: animals are not just decorative, but useful for crafting, progression, and interaction with the environment, encouraging players to engage with the ecosystem rather than exploit it.

Early-game and mid-game progression remain close to vanilla in pacing and difficulty, ensuring a familiar and accessible experience. The most impactful changes are reserved for the endgame, where players gain access to powerful equipment, advanced sets, constructs such as golems, and long-term goals that expand what is possible without turning the experience into a grind.

PS: Once you've started a game, you can modify and adapt the controls as you wish; I didn't feel like changing them, as it varies from player to player.

Modpack's history:
This is actually supposed to be version 3.0 or something like that (that's why it's the polished edition), but the first versions weren't as good as I expected; they were too rigid and didn't have the mods I wanted 100%. In fact, it took me four months just to find the mods I liked the most and which worked well together.
On top of that, it was a pain to do because my computer can't handle modpacks with more than 150 mods very well.

Just because it's focused on relaxation doesn't mean it doesn't have a large arsenal of monsters to face; in fact, it features more than 10 mods focused solely on monsters to defeat, including variants, royal variations, and bosses.

In addition to that, it features an endgame that requires you to have done a lot of things and explored the world.
In fact, it features the final armor, the Chessboard Knight armor; to obtain it, you need to have explored the seas; collected the Ender Dragon's breath; defeated a boss; completed the Nether; and reached the snowy peaks.

Along with the golems from Modular Golems, which are made from boss materials, you can use them to decorate or protect your base... but also to pulverize everything you find.
