Rougelike Dungeons | Custom Structures | Twilight Forest | The Betweenlands | Revamped Nether | Custom Ore Gen | Revamped Loot Tables

Tired of all that tech? Dislike the microcrafting and thousands of resources required for the next upgrade? Want to see new ways to use mods you're familiar with?

Archane Anarchy is a pack designed to move away from the common automation based modpacks with tedious microcrafting and instead focus on exploration, combat, and often under-utilized magic mods that have been used throughout modded minecraft. With scaling difficulty, inter-mod progression and unique enemy mechanics there's still a challenge—but it's going to be a challenge that (literally) keeps you on your toes, rather than at a crafting table or looking at a storage inventory.

For those new to modded Minecraft, an expansive questing book will guide you through key progression points in the pack should you get lost—but it won't hand hold you all the way through. Key quests will highlight what you might need to get next, but you are still free to progress on your own without the questing guide at all. If you're a player that has experience with mods, you'll probably be able to find or make use of items that you may have not considered using before, explained and highlighted to you through optional quests that can enhance your playing experience or even make it easier.

Create

  • Beautiful structures and homes with Chisel and Microblocks
  • Add homely features such as shelves, chairs, clocks and more with Bibliocraft
  • Use helpful Building tools to construct whatever you can think of more easily and effectively
  • Items you've never considered before and learn about them with optional advanced quests
  • New nutritious foods with Pam's Harvestcraft using kitchen utensils with Cooking for Blockheads

Explore

  • Traverse 60+ unique biomes in the overworld alone
  • Trade with custom villagers to find key items you need or rare weapons/equipment
  • Become a bounty hunter and complete bounties posted in villages for sweet loot
  • Fight your way through roguelike dungeons to find unique accessories/baubles or weapons you can use in combat
  • Discover ores in a new way with custom per-dimension ore generation that reduces the time you spend mining
  • Explore a revamped Overworld with custom structures and world generation settings along with an extended/revamped Nether
  • Enter entirely new dimensions with bosses and items such as The Betweenlands and The Twilight Forest

Fight

  • Fight Dragons and craft powerful armour
  • Overcome hordes of powerful undead with unique mechanics, encouraging weapon diversity (and make the Smite enchantment useful again!)
  • Use new potion effects to power yourself up or cripple your foes and become the ultimate alchemist
  • New monsters with custom animations and fighting tactics that can be looted for bounties
  • Dangerous new bosses that give even more powerful weapons and accessories

... and More!

  • Custom quest book with optional advanced quests for experienced players looking for new ways to use mods
  • Revamped sound system with reverb and dampening thanks to Dynamic Surroundings and Sound Filters
  • 1000+ lines of scripts to change recipes, add features or even new items
  • Improvements and changes to vanilla mechanics thanks to Charm and Quark
  • New items and features from more recent versions of the game (1.13.2/1.14) such as Tridents, Conduits, Foxes, Bamboo, Sweet Berries and new Crafting Blocks (Composter, Sawmill, etc.)

Extra Info:

  • 4-8GB of RAM is recommended for a singeplayer, and at least 6GB is recommended for a multiplayer server above 4 players.
  • If you are on a lower end system, it is advised to disable the following client-side aesthetic mods: (BetterFoliage, Blur, DSurround, Chunk Animator, Sound Filters)
  • Optifine is recommended also - shaders will go great with the environments generated by the pack
  • Turn off Mip-mapping (can cause issues on some PCs)
  • Use the "Realistic" world-type when generating a new world
  • If you have issues/questions/requests please please don't hesitate to message me on Curseforge. I will reply whenever I log in!
  • This modpack contains Nutrition, which is created by WesCook. A link to the mod can be found here.
  • If you want an up-to-date modlist, please check the "Relations" or "Dependencies" tab.
