Description

This modpack has officially been discontinued, there will be no further updates even if individual mods get updated. Thank you all for downloading, and I hope you enjoy the finished version of this modpack!

A Fantastical World beckons

Arcanum: New Age is a modpack that immerses the player in a fantasy-RPG world, without unnecessarily complicated Magic or Tech mods, and aims to be friendlier towards lower-end systems than larger modpacks. Arcanum picks its mods wisely to ensure an enjoyable experience while keeping mod resource usage low.

The magic system of Arcanum is based around 3 key mods:

- Apotheosis (Artifice, Enchanting, and Spawner Manipulation)

- Ars Nouveau (Familiars and Custom Spells)

- Eidolon (Dark Magic and Ritual)

Using these 3 core mods, the Magic of Arcanum should contain something for everyone!

Exploration is another aspect of Arcanum that is heavily encouraged, and multiple mods are provided to make it more fun and exciting, including Dungeon Crawl, Atmospheric, Valhelsia Structures, and Towers of the Wild.

The Dimensions of Arcanum have been altered too, and a couple of new ones have been added. The Undergarden and The Abyss: Chapter II provide eerie, dark worlds to explore, while Alexs Mobs, Endergetic Expansion, and The Outer End aim to shake up the Nether and End.

Exploring the world won't be easy, as Arcanum contains mods that add a plethora of monsters and other creatures that stand in your way, such as Ice and Fire and Savage and Ravage

Don't worry about the monsters too much, since Arcanum also provides plenty of fantastical weapons and equipment to help fend off the hordes, including Spartan Weapons, Dungeons Gear, and Artifacts.

Arcanum also takes inspiration from many RPG aspects, translated into Minecraft form with the use of mods like Bountiful, Health Canisters, and Neat.

Please enjoy your time spent in the New Age of Arcanum! The full mod list, as well as their authors, is down below :)

Having Problems?

If you encounter any issues with the modpack (mod incompatibilities, launching issues), please let me know in the comments.

As of now, there is 1 known issue where the default forge version used by the curseforge launcher is not compatible with a couple of the mods. To fix this, go to the profile options section of the modpack and change the Forge version to "forge-35.1.36". This will enable you to play the modpack.

All differences between this modpack and the original Arcanum (Light Fantasy) can be found in the first changelog
