Aurora Bound

Overview

Refined Realms is a custom-curated Minecraft experience inspired by exploration, automation, and performance stability. It balances quality-of-life enhancements, immersive world generation, and selective tech mods to ensure a smooth experience—especially for multiplayer servers.

Stability-Focused Design

This modpack was developed in response to instability issues experienced in similar packs. Certain mods were removed or replaced to reduce the risk of data corruption and crashes.

Key Features:

• Hand-picked mods for exploration, decoration, and lightweight automation
• Carefully tuned mod list for long-term multiplayer server use
• Inspired by Better MC, but built independently for better control and customization

Technical Notes

• Uses the Forge modloader
• Designed for dedicated server use, including Docker compatibility
• Client-only mods like Oculus should not be installed on the server

Version Control

While created primarily for private use, this pack is hosted here to enable easier updates, version control, and collaborative access.

Self hosting

For those interested in self hosting, you have permission to clone my repo to run your own server with the aurora bound modpack preinstalled. this is for ubuntu/wsl using docker, docker compose and java 17 headless.

This currently works with v1 of the modpack, though the repo is very much a beta right now.

if you run ./scripts/aurora.sh alias then source ~/.bashrc you can run aurora start which will download docker, docker-compose and java for you and start the server.
