NOTE: I am sorry for the title screen.

A mix of technology, food and survival mechanics.

For those who feel that regular modpacks tend to get too easy but do not want to go too hardcore on survival, this mod is for you!

 

Minimum 4GB of RAM to run. For a smoother experience, use 5GB.

Install Optifine and Shaders for a vastly better experience:

  • Shaders:
  • Chocopic is a shader that aims to achieve high visual quality while maintaining good performance.
  • Recommended Shader: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/customization/chocapic13-shaders
  •  After installing zip files, create a folder named "shaderpacks" in your modpack root directory. ("shaderpacks" should be in the same place as your "mods" folder.)
  • Open the zip file you installed and copy all 5 zip files into the shaderpacks folder. (Eg. "Chocapic13_V9_Extreme.zip" and "Chocapic13_V9_High.zip")
  • You are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO USE "Chocapic13_V9_Ultra.zip".
  • Use at least "Chocapic13_V9_Low.zip" for the intended modpack experience.
  • Run and Play. Configure video settings in-game to your own preference.

FPS BOOSTING TIPS(with Shaders):

  • Decrease render distance by 1 or 2, this affects performance the most.
  • Video Settings > Shaders > Specular Map = Off
  • Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options > Shading > Shadows > shadowMapResolution = 1024
  • Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options > Atmospherics >  VL_RENDER_RESOLUTION=0.25
  • Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options > Water_and_transparencies > SCREENSPACE_REFLECTIONS = OFF

Dynamic weather and immersive ambience/environment.

Tons of Tinkers Construct expansions/addons.

Different weather states - Hail, Strong Winds, etc. TORNADOS INCLUDED.

Customised Tough as Nails:

  • Removed thirst. Cold temperatures are more extreme.

Customised Spice Of Life:

  • Milder/slower diminishing food returns(2% lost nutritional value per food eaten)Diminishing returns are stopped when the nutritional value of food reaches 30%.

Slower Hunger/Regen System: 

  • Health now regenerates at a rate of 1 Health/Half a heart every 30 seconds and will take up 14 Hunger Points/7 Hunger Bars each time it regenerates.

Buffed First Aid System:

  • Bandages, Plasters, Healing Salves, Medikits and Enchanted Medikits are available to use.
  • Healing Salve: Increased use count from 2 to 6. Increased heal amount from 1 Health to 2 Health.
  • Plasters: Increased use count from 4 to 12. Increased heal amount from 1 Health to 2 Health.
  • Bandages: Increased use count from 6 to 18. Increased heal amount from 1 Health to 2 Health.
  • Medikits: Increased use count from 16 to 24. Increased heal amount from 1 Health to 4 Health.
  • Enchanted Medikits: Increased use count from 16 to 32. Increased heal amount from 1 Health to 6 Health.

Customised Difficulty/Scaling System: 

How to gain difficulty levels:

  • Sleep: +0.5 Difficulty
  • Kill any boss: +1 Difficulty
  • Moving away from spawn: +0.0001 Difficulty per block
  • Kill a hostile mob: +0.05 Difficulty
  • Kill a passive mob: +0.01 Difficulty
  • Nearby players: +0.1 Difficulty per nearby player
  • Use a cursed heart(Craftable): +10 Difficulty

How to lose difficulty levels:

  • Kill blights(buffed mobs ablaze with a purple fire): -0.1 Difficulty
  • Wait: -0.00001 Difficulty per second
  • Die: -0.01 Difficulty
  • Use an enchanted heart(Craftable): -10 Difficulty

What does difficulty do?

  • Per 1 point of difficulty:
  • Mobs(including bosses) receive +0.05 attack strength
  • Mobs(including bosses) drop +1% more experience
  • Mobs(including bosses) receive +0.3 extra health
  • Passive Mobs receive +0.15 extra health

Keeps inventories on death:

  • Will keep inventory on death, but introduces penalties.
  • Mining Fatigue I: 90 Seconds
  • Nausea: 5 Seconds
  • Weakness II: 90 Seconds
  • Health reduced by 5 Hearts for 45 seconds
  • Armor Halved for 45 Seconds
  • Armor Toughness Halved for 45 Seconds
  • Attack Damage Halved for 45 Seconds
  • Attack Speed Halved for 45 Seconds
  • Movement speed reduced by 40% for 45 Seconds
  • All items/armor suffer a 10% loss in durability/energy stored.
  • Players respawn with 2 hunger bars.
