About
Description
Build brass factories on the ground — and airships in the sky.
Overview
**Brassbound Skies** is a NeoForge 1.21.1 kitchen-sink pack built around **Create Aeronautics** and **Sable**: contraption airships, thrusters, and sky exploration on top of a deep Create tech tree. On the ground you’ll find factory automation, Applied Energistics storage, industrial power, and classic magic/adventure mods — dragons included. Roughly **380** mods; expect a heavyweight, feature-rich experience rather than a minimalist progression pack.
Features
Create & Aeronautics
- **Create** with a large addon stack for factories, logistics, and decoration
- **Create Aeronautics** + thrusters, radar, toolgun, and related flight tooling
- **Sable** for the Aeronautics physics/render experience
- Big Cannons and other Create combat/contraption toys for ship-to-ship (and ship-to-everything) chaos
Tech & Automation
- **Applied Energistics 2** (plus ExtendedAE / MegaCells-style expansion)
- **Mekanism**, Immersive Engineering, PneumaticCraft, Industrial Foregoing, Oritech
- Power options including Powah, Extreme Reactors, Flux Networks, and Create Nuclear
- ComputerCraft (CC: Tweaked), LaserIO / Pipez-style logistics, Compact Machines
Magic & Adventure
- **Ars Nouveau** (+ Elemental) and **Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks**
- Occultism, Witchery, Apotheosis, EvilCraft
- **Ice and Fire** dragons, Alex’s Mobs, Mowzie’s Mobs, and structure-heavy exploration
- Worldgen via Terralith, Tectonic, Regions Unexplored, and assorted structure packs
Quality of Life & Multiplayer
- FTB Chunks / Teams, Open Parties and Claims, Waystones, Wormhole
- Sophisticated Backpacks & Storage, Farmer’s Delight food stack, Macaw’s building mods
- JourneyMap, Jade, JEI, Voice Chat, Simple Radio
- Performance helpers included on client (e.g. Sodium) — see notes below about shaders
Requirements
- **Minecraft:** 1.21.1
- **Loader:** NeoForge **21.1.x** (pack built on **21.1.238**)
- **Java:** 21
- **Recommended RAM (client):** **8–10 GB** allocated (this is a heavy pack; 6 GB is usually too low)
- **Dedicated server:** plan for **10 GB+** Java heap and spare host RAM (12 GB+ host is a practical starting point)
Important notes
- **Do not use Iris (or similar shader loaders) with this pack.** Iris conflicts with **Sable** / the Aeronautics render stack and can hang on the Mojang loading screen. **Sodium is fine; Iris is not.**
- Client and server must stay in sync for multiplayer. Content mods (Create/Aeronautics/Sable, claims, voice chat, etc.) need to be on both sides; pure client HUD/render mods (JEI, Jade, JourneyMap, Sodium, etc.) stay client-only.
- First launch and first world load can take a long time — let the pack finish loading before force-closing.
