Description
Following every update after 1.12, Vanilla Minecraft is beginning to reach a more fulfilling experience without the need for mods. However, there are still many areas of the Vanilla game that need improvement or feel uncompleted.
The aim of this modpack is to add features that seem almost a requirement in any version of modded Minecraft. While most of the mods in this pack seem to be increasing the level of immersion, that is not the goal of this pack. Immersive portals and Fishing real both add to the realness of Minecraft, but so would Dynamic trees which is not included in this pack. Many of the mods in this pack improve vanilla mechanics rather than altering the Vanilla experience in a dramatic way.
<An image will go here>
New decorative blocks, alternate dimensions with unique bosses and enemies, a revamp of the survival experience with flint tools/farming technology could all be added with the mods in this pack, but these additions have purposely been excluded.
- New decorative blocks are usually always appreciated in any modpack, but it often leads to superfluous amounts of textures and variations. Working within the texture and block constraints of vanilla Minecraft is part of the experience (imo)
- Additional animals, just for the sake of animals, may seem like an Original Mojang Idea, but this modpack is more focused on increasing the utility of existing Minecraft creatures. The same goes for mobs
- Though it should be obvious, this isn't meant to be a form of terrfirmacraft. Alterations to survival mechanics are being planned, but each change will be reviewed with great consideration. Maps and banners may be made easier to obtain, since these items have been relegated to decor rather than utility. Armour may become more expensive, so that leather armour has a purpose and fighting zombies for drops makes sense. However, making elytras craftable with dragon eggs isn't a priority
Any suggestions for mods to be added are welcome, but just keep in mind the limitations I am placing.
Future plans:
- Creating a fabric version (though this may end up for MultiMC as opposed to curseforge)
- Heavily altering Vanilla food mechanics, so that variety or creativity are encouraged. The goal is to avoid super-foods i.e. While some foods may be good for hunger, they will be lacking in other aspects
- As mentioned above, altering recipes to further develop Vanilla mechanics
