Cold Was the Ground

A horror modpack set in the American frontier, somewhere in the 1700s–1800s.

Take shelter in an isolated wooden fort surrounded by dense forests and unfamiliar wilderness. The fort is your home, but the woods beyond it are a different story. Strange noises, things moving in the dark, and the feeling that you aren't alone make travelling outside after sundown a risk of its own.

This pack focuses on atmosphere, exploration, and survival rather than constant combat. With darker nights, ambient sounds, and various creatures and other unsettling additions, the wilderness is meant to feel unknown and dangerous.

Explore the surrounding land, gather supplies, and make the most of what little safety the fort provides. Just don't wander too far into the trees.
