Cozy Chaos

Cozy Chaos is a lightweight 1.17.1 Fabric modpack that embraces the best parts of Minecraft: the serene joy of a beautiful world, and the utter adrenaline rush of finding yourself in extreme danger (and hopefully managing to survive).
To this end, we offer lots of exploration mods that will produce interesting terrain and unique biomes, as well as building mods to ensure that you can create the cozy base you've dreamed of. It also adds in randomly chosen, extremely powerful enemies, and enough incredible magic and gear to eventually stand up to them.

One additional aim this modpack has is to eliminate as much annoyance as possible, while still maintaining a vanilla feel. There will be a shortage of "one block wonder" items which solve all your problems instantly, but nothing is difficult simply for the sake of being difficult. Additionally, the difficulty ought to be leveled out by the amount of glorious magic treasures to be found, which will aid you in combat.

This modpack should be suitable for mid-range PCs. Recommended specs are:

CPU: 3.0GHz

RAM: 4-6GB

GPU: Any with 2GB+ VRAM

That said, YMMV. If you find this too taxing on your system, there are several clientside mods & resourcepacks which can be removed to increase performance (clientside mods are indicated in the ModMenu list!).

This modpack is incompatible with OptiFine/OptiFabric. It contains plenty of performance mods and graphical enhancements already. If you want to use shaders with this pack, you can just place them in the shaderpacks folder. The mod Iris Shaders functions both as a shader enablement (compatible with Optifine shaders, I recommend Complementary!), and also a performance boosting mod, as it contains Sodium.
