Overview
This is a large tech-oriented modpack that combines technology, magic, adventure, and farming. The original author was inspired by the classic GregTech pack GregTech: New Horizons, chose the name "New Horizon", and set out to build a tech pack that merges Create with GregTech. As more members joined the team, after nearly two years of development and over a year of post-release polishing, CTNH has grown to include a great deal of brand-new, unique content that brings a fresh perspective to your Minecraft journey.
The pack's main mods include Create, GregTech, Botania, Blood Magic, Biomancy 2, Applied Energistics, Alex's Caves, and more, along with several in-house mods (CTNH-Core, CTNH-Bio, CT++, etc.) that provide compatibility, rebalancing, or additional custom content. Detailed quest books and new ponder screens offer thorough guidance. In total, the pack reworks tens of thousands of recipes and adds 120+ multiblock machines; the full progression of the current version takes 200+ hours.

Tech
Create
The pack is built on Create 6.0+ and many of its addons (Create: Vintage Improvements, Metallurgy, Electrical Age, Create Ore Excavation, etc.), delivering a distinctive gear-style tech experience. Through our in-house mod CT++, Create and GregTech are deeply integrated — for example, stress-based multiblock machines — and a brand-new type of device-entity multiblock was added: once formed, part of the multiblock turns into a device entity that can rotate or translate, offering players plenty of visual surprises.

GregTech
The pack plans to cover 15 voltage tiers (LV to MAX, with the Steam Age replaced by Create); the current maximum voltage is UHV. Every voltage tier from the original GTM has been expanded, adding many machines with unique mechanics.

Biomancy 2
Through our in-house mod CTNH-Bio, Biomancy 2 is deeply integrated with GregTech, Hostile Neural Networks, and other tech mods, adding unique biopunk-style machines and production lines.

Applied Energistics 2 (AE2)
AE2 has been deeply reworked, adding usability improvements such as advanced blocking mode for pattern providers and automatic doubling, plus the Jiuzhang | Quantum Supercomputer — a multiblock that can handle crafting jobs.

Magic
In this pack, magic is a side branch deeply intertwined with tech, and it can help speed up the main GregTech progression. (Apart from crafting the final endgame item, all magic content is optional — magic will never block tech progression.)
Botania
We have deeply reworked Botania's resource acquisition and recipes, and added many practical yet beautiful multiblocks so players can obtain large amounts of resources to support their tech progression.

Blood Magic
We've added more rituals and Blood Magic multiblocks, including the Starfall Operator, Demonic Will generators, and more.

Ars Nouveau
We've kept Ars Nouveau's native flavor as much as possible without harming game balance, while designing beautiful, detailed quest guidance. (Note: In the future, this content will be integrated with tech.)

Adventure
The Twilight Forest, The Aether, and Ad Astra add multi-dimensional exploration. Apotheosis strengthens monsters and player attributes, while Legendary Survival Overhaul and Immersive Aircraft add more flavor to survival gameplay.
Adventure content helps tech progression — players must explore the world to gather the resources they need (ores, creatures, etc.) — but you will never be forced to obtain a specific drop or defeat a specific boss to advance in tech.

Custom Content
- Deeply reworked material recipes - Nearly every item recipe from the major core mods has been rebuilt: the pack adds 10,000+ recipes, removes 2,000+ recipes, and modifies 4,000+ recipes.
- Custom multiblock machines - Using the GregTech API, we've defined 100+ multiblock structures, at least half of which feature unique recipe mechanics.
- A complete endgame progression - Although the pack is still under active development, it already has a full endgame goal at the end of GregTech's UHV tier; graduating currently takes roughly 250+ hours.
- Detailed quest guidance - 800+ quests with generous rewards (food) to help you through the early game, plus detailed tutorials covering everything from the caveman stage all the way to UHV graduation.
- Core mods - To meet our rebalancing needs, we created our own core mod CTNH-Core, with submodules such as CTNH-Bio, CTNH-Energy, CTPP, and CTNH-Mana.
- Optimizations and fixes for many mods - Since some mods suffer from bugs and lag, we've fixed them ourselves via Mixin or hot-swap patches to improve the player experience.
7. Custom structures - The team has hidden some fun easter-egg structures in the world for you to discover.
Getting Started
System Requirements
- Minimum RAM: 5 GB
- Recommended RAM: 6–8 GB

Future Plans
The pack will keep updating, bringing you more novel and interesting progressions, machines, and worlds.
- Quantum Anomaly: Quantum mechanics will be added to the late game!
- New Energy, New Concepts: Magnetic fields and magnetism will be introduced, interacting with GregTech machines in complex ways.
- More and Better Create: We'll keep expanding Create's ceiling with more GregTech-flavored Create machines.
- Age of Magic: Magic and tech will be fused even further.
