DarkRoot is a Minecraft horror modpack built around the foundation of vanilla Minecraft. It expands the world with new threats, encounters, structures, equipment, and atmospheric features while keeping the familiar Minecraft experience at its core.

The focus is on tension, atmosphere, exploration, and survival. The world can feel unpredictable, and not every encounter is what it seems. Some creatures may watch you, follow you, hunt you, or even imitate your friends. At times, you may find yourself questioning whether the person standing in front of you is really who they appear to be.

Explore the world, gather resources, improve your equipment, and prepare for what awaits beyond the next forest or abandoned structure. The nights are dangerous, and every journey carries its own risks.

Performance was also a priority throughout development, with optimization aimed at making DarkRoot playable across a wide range of systems.
