Dead Rad: The Bedrock Extraction — A hardcore post-apocalyptic survival modpack set in a stone-free flatworld where you must survive lethal radioactive smog, scavenge industrial ruins, and drill the bedrock layer for vital resources.
Centered around complex tech and/or magic where large-scale automation is necessary, often taking many hours to craft items and hundreds or thousands of hours to fully complete.
Focuses on automation and resource processing through scientific and mechanical means, utilizing systems like electricity (RF/FE/etc), air pressure, or rotation.
Designed to be difficult and challenging for experienced players, often with many hours of gameplay.

Description
☢️ Dead Rad: The Bedrock Extraction ☢️
Welcome to Dead Rad a custom-tailored, hardcore post-apocalyptic survival experience. This isn't your typical wasteland modpack. Built entirely on an ezWastelands flatworld, this pack strips away the safety of mining. There is no surface stone. There are no traditional underground ore veins. There is only dust, ruins, and an atmosphere trying to liquefy your lungs.
Can you survive when the world itself is your greatest enemy?
💀 The Core Features
🚫 No Stone, No Ores: Absolute Resource Scarcity
The top layers of the world contain absolutely zero stone or standard metal ores. To survive and progress through advanced nuclear physics and tech, you cannot rely on classic mining. Instead, you must adapt:
- Bedrock Mining: Your ultimate goal is to breach the lower depths of the wasteland. The bedrock layer is alive with custom-configured Bedrock Ore Nodes. Deploy massive industrial drills to pump metals, coal, and uranium directly from the core of the planet.
- Scavenging the Ruins: The surface is densely populated with forgotten industrial complexes, abandoned factories, and research bunkers. Tear down their concrete and steel walls manually to gather construction materials and early-game loot.
- Cosmic Deliveries: With a heavily increased meteor strike rate, the sky constantly rains down destruction—and opportunity. Hunt down fresh impact craters to harvest rare cosmic metals and vital resources.
☣️ Lethal Radiation Haze
We have cranked the atmospheric danger to the absolute maximum. The wasteland is a living biohazard:
- The Smog is Alive: Toxic soot and industrial pollution have choked the skies. A permanent, dense radioactive fog rolls through the world frequently, heavily obscuring visibility and accelerating your radiation sickness.
- Buffed Monsters: The chemical pollution has mutated the local undead. Surface mobs gain significant health and damage buffs the more the atmosphere decays.
- Zones of Absolute Death: Ground zero craters are no-go zones without late-game power armor. Ambient radiation in these areas will melt an unprotected player in seconds, and the crater water behaves like concentrated acid.
- The Mask Man: You are never truly alone. If you absorb too much radiation underground, a relentless stalker known as the Mask Man will track you down with increased aggression.
🌾 Forgiving Agriculture (The Only Mercy)
Because the surface is completely barren, we have given you one small fighting chance. The decay rate of soil around your base is slightly decelerated, and dead soil has a small chance to naturally regenerate back into fertile dirt. If you manage to filter the air and protect your perimeter, you can build a sustainable underground greenhouse to fend off starvation.
🛠️ Recommended Setup
OptiFine/Shaders: Highly recommended to enhance the dense soot-fog and flashlight mechanics for a truly immersive horror experience.
