About

Doctor Who: Across the Galaxy is a Minecraft Modpack that combines technology, exploration, custom mobs and a fully functional Tardis to add onto the normal survival experience.

Brave the night, build incredible projects and explore all of time and space in your singleplayer world or with friends on a server!

The project was originally made to complement the New Tardis Mod Minecraft Server. It now uses a different modpack

Installation Information

Minecraft Forge Version

Installation Guide

To install this modpack, please see the following link: Twitch.TV - Guide to Modpacks

Memory Allocation

It is recommended that you allocate 2-3 Gigabytes of RAM to run this modpack. However, keep in mind that the amount of RAM you allocate to Minecraft must not exceed half of the installed RAM in your computer, to reduce risks of your computer running out of memory.

To adjust the memory allocation to the modpack profile, please take the following steps:

1. Open the Minecraft Launcher

  1. 2. Select Installations
    1. Select Installations
  2. 3. Place mouse over the profile you want to launch and select the button with three dots next to the Play Button. Then press Edit
    1. Hover over profile, press the button with Three dots, then select Edit
  3. 4. Select More Options in the bottom right hand corner of the window
    1. Select More Options
  4. 5. Edit the JVM Arguments textbox, and change the field "-Xmx2G" to "-Xmx3G".
    1.  Example JVM Arguments:
    2. -Xmx2G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M
    3. Edit JVM Arguments Textbox
  5. 6. Click the Save button to save your changes to the profile
  6. 7. Click the Play button next to the profile to start the modpack
OPTIFINE WARNING

Optifine is not compatible with most mods that have custom rendering, including the New Tardis Mod’s Bigger on the Inside effect (BOTI). If you want to use Optifine, it is recommended that you disable the Fast Render option, which will allow you to use both Shaders and New Tardis Mod BOTI. This solution will only work for some computers, as some hardware/drivers won’t support it.

Mod List:

The modpack includes the following list of mods. These mods are required to be able to join the complementary Minecraft server.
