DonPack Core

A lightweight modpack intended for use on my friend group's private Minecraft server. A lot of the more popular modpacks feature a glut of content with little focus, in my opinion deviating at times too heavily from the core experience of Minecraft in the name of adding "things to do".

Altogether, this can make for an offputting experience for some who aren't on the pulse with the Minecraft modding scene and just want something close to vanilla without sifting through 200 tabs of JEI or an esoteric quest system to follow. Making our own modpack seemed the best solution to the aforementioned issues, and an easily distributed cloud-based modpack is the easiest way to reach the intended audience.

A vanilla-like experience is the aim, with the addition of quality-of-life tweaks such as map plugins, chunk claiming and crafting XP rebalance bypassing similar, less-than-tactile vanilla systems. In addition, a small number of my personal favourite mods have been included, such as Create, AE2 and Tech Reborn, to provide a more in-depth technological automation experience for anyone curious about trying them. All of this is built on the basis of various performance and stability improvement plugins for a more stable server.
