Elysium is a hardcore story-driven tech pack for 150+ hours. Five ages of engineering, five bosses of our own, around 680 quests and a real ending. It is built for a team of friends and fully playable alone.

What makes it different

Every age is earned. The machines of the next age need trophies from this age's bosses. The bosses of the next age need gear from those machines. No recipe lets you skip ahead.

You can't out-gear a Watcher. Our bosses take only so much damage per hit, so a stack of enchantments won't end the fight in ten seconds. Each one has a mechanic, and the real damage comes when you use it.

The world comes to you. Every few days a portal opens near your team and Core minions walk out into your fields, your mine, your base. The further you get, the harder they hit.

No wiki needed. The age path is a step-by-step quest chain, and every boss drop has a "where to get it" page in JEI.

There is an ending. The Fallen Core is built from the trophies of 13 bosses and fought in five phases, one for each age you went through.

The Core of Elysium has fallen

Elysium was a city of engineers in the sky. Then its Core failed, and the whole city came down into our world. Its wreckage lies across the land, Core minions wander around it, and in the towers that survived the Watchers still keep their watch: the mechanical guardians of Elysium's five guilds.

You begin with gears and a water wheel. To reach the Core you will have to grow your own engineering age by age, build the keys to the Watchers' lairs and beat all five of them.

An age opens for the whole team at once. One player uses the Seal, and everyone moves on together.

The Watchers

Each Watcher has its own lair and a key you assemble from other bosses' trophies. Wake it with the ritual, then work out how it fights. Hitting harder won't save you. Reading the fight will.

The Clockmaker. Stops time and leaves golden traces where his next blows will land. Every 20 seconds his spring runs down, and that is your window.

The Steam Ram. Charges along a red line. Lead it into a pillar to stun it, and bleed off its pressure through the boiler valves before it bursts.

The Copper Shepherd. Throws an iron hail at you with its magnet and calls down lightning. The lightning rods by the pylon catch the strikes. Charge three of them and it goes blind.

The Smelter. Keeps heating up toward a blast. Drag it to a coolant tank to dump the heat and make its metal brittle, and keep the slag golems away from the tanks.

The Observer. Hides among its own copies. Only the real one casts a shadow. When its eye opens, look away.

A world that fights back

  • Core raids. A portal opens near your team every few days, and Core minions with the Guardian's Echo come through. The higher your age, the stronger the wave.
  • Core wreckage. Craters and ruined machine halls with vaults, guardians, artifact blueprints and records of how Elysium fell.
  • The Monument of Elysium. The heart of your team's base. Feed it resources to awaken it, then open rifts (hall runs with a loot pot) and mythic trials: empowered Watcher fights with affixes and records.
  • Core synthesis. Study a resource in the analyzer, then synthesize it from Core matter.
  • Armor modules. Sockets in your armor and more than twenty modules, from a glider and a jetpack to an ore scanner and a magnet.
  • 47 artifacts. You won't find them in chests. You find their blueprints in the wreckage and craft them.

The finale

Assemble the Core of Elysium from the trophies of 13 bosses across every world, add the best parts of each age, and perform the ritual. The Fallen Core sheds its shell every 20% of its health: gears, steam, current, industry, quantum, one phase for each age. Win, and you get the Core's Heart and Sparks of Creation, which craft creative blocks.

Quests and the book

  • The age path is a step-by-step chain. Every part has a path to it, and power has a branch of its own.
  • Separate chapters for every boss, for Create, IE, Mekanism and AE2 engineering, for magic, the world, the archive, the atlas and feats.
  • Anything that drops from bosses instead of being crafted has a "where to get it" page in JEI.
  • The pack has its own guide book and Ponder scenes for its machines.

Comfortable out of the box

  • Shaders included. Iris with Solas and Horizon Reimagined. Turn them on in Video Settings, Shader Packs.
  • Performance. Sodium, Lithium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, Entity Culling.
  • Travel and storage. Waystones, Sophisticated Backpacks, Tom's Simple Storage, the FTB Chunks map with claims, FTB Ultimine.
  • Fair for teams. Lootr gives every player their own loot from each chest. Ping Wheel lets you mark places for the team. Corpse keeps your items after death.

Getting started

  1. Install the pack in the CurseForge app and give Minecraft 8 to 10 GB of RAM (Settings, Minecraft, Java Settings).
  2. Make a team with your friends. The age opens for everyone in it.
  3. Open the quest book and start with the first chapter.

FAQ

Where can I play on a server? Server builds of Elysium are available only on ElysiumUp hosting. Rent a server and the pack is already installed, see the banner below.

How do I play with a friend? Open your inventory and press My Team in the top left corner. Choose Create a Party, then Invite Player(s), and your friend clicks Accept in chat. Ages, Seals and quest progress are shared by the whole party. A friend who joins later gets the party's age the next time they log in.

Can we play together without a server? Yes, through Open to LAN if you are on the same network.

Where is the quest book? You get it on your first login, together with the pack's guide book and the Monument of Elysium.

I died. Where are my items? In your corpse, at the spot where you died. Go back and open it.

How do I switch to Russian? Options, Language, Русский. Quests, items and the guide switch too.

My FPS is low. Turn shaders off and give the game 10 GB of RAM.

Can I play alone? Yes, singleplayer works in full.

Can I add my own mods? You can, but recipes and quests are built around the current list, and new mods can open shortcuts past the ages.

Чем она отличается

Каждую эпоху нужно заслужить. Машинам следующей эпохи нужны трофеи боссов этой. Боссов следующей эпохи бьёшь снаряжением с этих машин. Ни один рецепт не даст перепрыгнуть вперёд.

Смотрителя не перекачаешь. Наши боссы получают за удар не больше определённого урона, так что гора зачарований не закончит бой за десять секунд. У каждого своя механика, и настоящий урон идёт, когда ты её используешь.

Мир сам приходит к тебе. Раз в несколько дней рядом с командой открывается портал, и прислужники Ядра выходят на твои поля, в шахту, на базу. Чем дальше ты продвинулся, тем сильнее они бьют.

Вики не понадобится. Путь эпох — пошаговая цепочка квестов, а у каждого трофея с босса есть страница «откуда взять» в JEI.

У сборки есть финал. Павшее Ядро собирается из трофеев 13 боссов, и бой с ним идёт в пять фаз, по одной на каждую пройденную эпоху.

Ядро Элизиума пало

Элизиум был городом инженеров в небе. Потом его Ядро отказало, и весь город рухнул в наш мир. Обломки разбросаны по земле, вокруг них бродят прислужники Ядра, а в уцелевших башнях до сих пор несут вахту Смотрители, механические стражи пяти гильдий Элизиума.

Ты начинаешь с шестерёнок и водяного колеса. Чтобы добраться до Ядра, придётся вырастить собственную инженерию эпоха за эпохой, собрать ключи к логовам Смотрителей и победить всех пятерых.

Эпоха открывается всей команде сразу. Печать применяет один игрок, и дальше вы идёте вместе.

Смотрители

У каждого Смотрителя своё логово и ключ, который собирается из трофеев других боссов. Разбуди его ритуалом и разберись, как он дерётся. Бить сильнее не поможет. Поможет понять бой.

Часовщик. Останавливает время и оставляет золотые следы там, куда придутся его следующие удары. Каждые 20 секунд его завод кончается, и это твоё окно.

Паровой Таран. Несётся по красной линии. Заведи его в колонну, чтобы оглушить, и стравливай давление через клапаны котлов, пока он не взорвался паром.

Медный Пастух. Магнитом швыряет в тебя железный град и зовёт молнии. Громоотводы у пилона забирают разряды. Заряди три, и он ослепнет.

Плавильщик. Раскаляется до взрыва. Подведи его к баку хладагента, чтобы сбросить жар и сделать металл хрупким, и не подпускай шлаковых големов к бакам.

Наблюдатель. Прячется среди своих копий. Тень отбрасывает только настоящий. Когда открывается его глаз, отвернись.

Мир, который сопротивляется

  • Набеги Ядра. Раз в несколько дней рядом с командой открывается портал, и из него выходят прислужники Ядра и Эхо Стража. Чем выше эпоха, тем сильнее волна.
  • Обломки Ядра. Кратеры и руины машинных залов с хранилищами, стражами, чертежами артефактов и записями о том, как пал Элизиум.
  • Монумент Элизиума. Сердце базы команды. Неси в него ресурсы, чтобы пробудить, а потом открывай разломы (забеги по залам с котлом добычи) и мифические испытания: усиленные бои со Смотрителями с аффиксами и рекордами.
  • Синтез Ядра. Изучи ресурс в анализаторе, а потом синтезируй его из материи Ядра.
  • Модули брони. Разъёмы в броне и больше двадцати модулей, от планера и реактивного ранца до сканера руд и магнита.
  • 47 артефактов. В сундуках их нет. Ты находишь чертежи в обломках и крафтишь сам.

Финал

Собери Ядро Элизиума из трофеев 13 боссов всех миров, добавь лучшие детали каждой эпохи и проведи ритуал. Каждые 20% здоровья Павшее Ядро сбрасывает оболочку: шестерни, пар, ток, индустрия, квант, по фазе на эпоху. Победители получают Сердце Ядра и Искры Творения, из которых крафтятся творческие блоки.

Квесты и книга

  • Путь эпох — пошаговая цепочка. К каждой детали есть путь, у электричества своя ветка.
  • Отдельные главы про каждого босса, про инженерию Create, IE, Mekanism и AE2, про магию, мир, архив, атлас и подвиги.
  • У всего, что выпадает с боссов, а не крафтится, в JEI есть страница «откуда взять».
  • У сборки своя книга-справочник и сцены Ponder для её машин. «Руководство инженера» Immersive Engineering переведено на русский целиком.

Вопросы

Где поиграть на сервере? Серверная версия Элизиума есть только на хостинге ElysiumUp. Арендуешь сервер, и сборка на нём уже установлена, баннер внизу страницы.

Как играть с другом? Открой инвентарь и нажми My Team в левом верхнем углу. Выбери Create a Party, потом Invite Player(s), а друг нажимает Accept в чате. Эпохи, Печати и прогресс квестов общие для всей пати. Друг, который вступил позже, получит эпоху команды при следующем входе.

Можно играть вместе без сервера? Да, через «Открыть для сети», если вы в одной локальной сети.

Где книга квестов? Её выдают при первом входе, вместе со справочником сборки и Монументом Элизиума.

Я умер. Где мои вещи? В твоём трупе, на месте смерти. Вернись и открой его.

Как переключить язык? Настройки, Язык, Русский. Квесты, предметы и справочник тоже переключатся.

Низкий FPS. Выключи шейдеры и выдели игре 10 ГБ ОЗУ.

Можно играть одному? Да, одиночная игра работает полностью.

Можно добавить свои моды? Можно, но рецепты и квесты построены вокруг текущего списка, и новые моды могут открыть обходы эпох.
