A relatively large modpack focused on content, rather than fluff QoL mods (though there are plenty)

About

Description

ATTENTION: This modpack is resource-heavy and will require more RAM to run than usual modpacks (5-7 gigabytes)

Enjoy The Journey is the final iteration of a modpack I have meticulously curated to be the ULTIMATE Vanilla+ modpack. If you want something Vanilla+/Exploration I highly recommend, this modpack is superb.

It has all the features you would expect from a Vanilla+ like amazing new biomes and plent of new content to really immerse yourself in. Rather than 300+ mods, this modpack has 170 content-rich mods that add features you actually want. More than that, the mods within all have a certain style and quality that fits neatly rather than modpacks that mix modern and retro mods, which can somewhat pull you out of the immersion.

The modpack includes:

-HUNDREDS of new biomes and structures from Biomes O' Plenty, Oh the Biomes You'll Go, Terralith, Incendium, Geophilic (and more).

-TONS of new and interesting content like mobs, weapons, and dungeon-structures to enjoy. All without focusing too hard away from the exploration aspect. Content from L_Ender's Cataclysm, Alex's Mobs and Caves, Aquamirae, Atlantis, Deeper and Darker, Aether, and Incendium.

-A variety of MAJOR GAMEPLAY MECHANICS have been added, most prominent is Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, which adds a simple but VERY fun magic system. All while still feeling distinctly "Minecraft" and not straying too far.

-FARMER'S DELIGHT (and addons) adds a fun and rewarding cooking system that allows for lots of unique recipes.

-MACAW'S FURNITURE (and addons) allows for beautiful bases.

-Optional IMMERSION MODS like MAtmos and First-person Model that add a touch more immersion to the game, while being entirely optional for more purist players.

-A handful of QoL mods like GraveStone Mod and Xaero's Worldmap to help make the long journey a bit easier.

-6 different Shader choices for you to pick from (I recommend Complementary or Solas)

So if you are like me and want a modpack where you can use cool gear and explore to your heart's content, then look no further.

Huge shoutout to Mateo 35 on the Forge modding Discord server for helping me fix a crash. Please comment if you notice any errors, as I haven't tested everything. Also please comment if you have suggestions or just want to show appreciation, and don't forget to share the modpack with your friends.

  • Expanded block palettes
Expanded block palettes Various mods expand previously existing block types, allowing for interesting new builds like this prismarine throne I made using the new prismarine brick types and the new prismarine coral blocks that spawn in ocean ravines.
  • Cool shaders in conjunction with cool environments
Cool shaders in conjunction with cool environments Admire the new biomes with the wide variety of shaders to pick from.
  • Overhauled structures
Overhauled structures Mods like Luki's Grand Capitals and other such mods overhaul vanilla structures like villages to make them look more in-line with the modded structures, though there are still plenty of retro style buildings throughout the world.
  • Varied landscapes
Varied landscapes With the large variety of biomes to explore, landscapes and terrain become varied and exotic, while remaining mostly logical. Forests next to other forests, deserts next to other deserts, that sort of thing.
  • Detailed animations and such
Detailed animations and such Alongside the First-person Model mod by tr7zw, exploring gets the very neat and immersive touch of actually holding out torches and lanterns in front of the player. Don't worry though, if the new view model gets in the way it can be disabled with a hotkey.
