Description

Ferromancy has over 300 quests, tech, magic, and exploration, with custom progression and ore processing.

c806FsR.png

This is a pack for the seasoned miner, crafter, magician, etc. Ores are separated into tiers based on how they are processed, and there is a totally custom ore processing chain that varies based on your stage in the game (see images!). This modpack is for people who aren't afraid to take some time to enjoy the peaceful (or not so much) activity of spelunking, or creating a disorganized maze of strip mines. As an example, oureclase is a mineral used in the creation of various alloys, yet it is only found at y = 48 and above. This encourages having a multi-leveled strip mining installation. All the electric drills and such are disabled, so the TiC hammer is your best friend until late game! Not to worry, however, you can enhance your TiC pickaxe with vertical and horizontal expanders, making it expose more blocks at once, growing your massive industry. Progression flows throughout all the magic and dimensional mods in "Phases", each containing a tech mod, a magic mod, and at least one dimension. One exception to this is abyssalcraft, which is sprinkled throughout the pack.

This pack also adds some scary mobs & increases the difficulty of the vanilla ones, to allow full range of use of all the magical items and weapons! Tinkers' Construct has many custom materials and traits fitting the theme of the material. I have taken a sweeping balance pass on nearly every material's stats and traits, even with some custom traits! No tool is left without a trait, either.

Ore Processing Example GIF - Click Me

Osmium, being a Tier 3 ore, needs to be mixed with ambrosia to turn into a slurry, and processed further. With more advanced machines such as the Centrifugal Separator and Pulverizer, you can remove the need for the Crusher and Sieve multiblock. Later machines cut out steps entirely. This is the essence of ore Tiers, newer Tiers are tough to process, but grant access to easier ways to process old Tiers.

Ore Tier Overview

Tier 1 - Ores that can be smashed with a hammer and directly smelted/washed

Tier 2 - Same as Tier 1, but require RF appliances to automate

Tier 3 - Ores that require being mixed with Ambrosia and having the slurry subsequently distilled

Tier 4 - Ores that require a Pulverizer and Centrifuge from Thermal Expansion

Tier 5 - Ores that require a Crusher and Enrichment Chamber from Mekanism

Tier 6 - Ores that require a Grinder and Extractor from Tech Reborn

Tier 7 - Ores that require an Industrial Grinder and Industrial Blast Furnace from Tech Reborn

  • Machine Recipes
Machine Recipes The vast majority of machines, if not all of them, have custom recipes fitting for where they are in the progression tree. This is clearly a late game one
  • Graphite Electrode
Graphite Electrode First graphite electrodes are made in a simple manner by infusing dust with starlight, changing the crystal structure just enough to be used in the Arc Furnace
  • Auric Steel
Auric Steel An elemental alloy, this is used in various late game tech products
  • Upgradium
Upgradium Used in machine upgrades, and more, upgradium can be upgraded throughout the game to be used in more advanced contexts
  • Microcircuit Assembler
Microcircuit Assembler Makes circuits and such, cheaper than crafting. Can be upgraded as you progress, from early to end game
  • Custom Items
Custom Items All custom items and fluids
  • Quest Chapters
Quest Chapters Nearly 300 quests, guiding through progression & providing rewards
