Description
"I just really like foxes.." - Me, when naming the pack
Foxcraft 3 tries to bring the wonderous expanse of features that is so common in Forge modpacks to the lightweight, low-end inclusive world of Fabric.
So what can I find here?
Technology! (*fright*)
With powerful mods like Create, Applied Energistics and Tech Reborn, this modpack contains all that you need to automate your world and make a technological empire! If you're more into the nuance, we have mods like CC: Restitched and
Magic!
We don't just have technology to offer! With brilliant mods like Spectrum and Botania, you'll be entertained for hours as you build yourself a vibrant and magical world full of colour and plants! If such intense mods aren't your thing, we have mods like ExtraAlchemy which expands upon the already present alchemy system to make new useful potions to help you conquer any obstacle.
Exploration!
This modpack includes breathtakingly beautiful biomes, courtesy of mods like BetterEnd, BetterNether and BYG, as well as amazing structures you can explore from the Awesome Dungeon series. We also have most of YUNG's structure mods to overhaul parts of the world that needed a polish and updating after being released many years ago.
If the vanilla dimensions, and their wonderful overhauls, get boring to you, we also have mods like Eden Ring and the legendary Twilight Forest to keep you wandering for hours.
Combat!
Ever thought the combat system in Minecraft was a little drab? Needed more style, or perhaps more firepower? We have both! With mods like Combat Roll and Better Combat, you'll be having battles that bring you back to all the cool action movies. If you're more one to stand back and take down your enemies from a distance, we have ewewukek's Musket mod to allow you to load, aim and fire at those pesky foes in the distance.
Aesthetics!
With a combination of decoration block mods like Adorn, Catwalks and Chipped, resource packs like Stoneborn and Stay True, Shaders with Iris and many other beautifying mods, we try to give the game a facelift at the expensive of very little performance (excluding shaders).
Immersive Portals is included in this modpack! Make sure to disable this mod if your PC or server isn't strong enough to handle it, or you start getting bugs!
Sound!
Presence Footsteps, Charmonium and Sound Physics fill up the empty space with solid sounds that feel like you're really in the game! (Best enjoyed with Headphones)
Food!
Ever wanted to set up your own restaurant, tavern or other eatery in Minecraft but felt the vanilla options just weren't varied enough? With Farmer's Delight, Croptopia and Deep Rock Tavern, we've got all of your eating and drinking needs covered!
Origins!
That's right! The (in)famous mod, Origins, with a few plugins to add many new interesting ways to experience the Minecraft world. Of course, this mod is optional by simply selecting "Human" at the beginning, but I do recommend giving the other races a look! Some are really rather fun challenges to work around.
History - Why 3?
Foxcraft is a modpack series that started at the beginning of 2019. My friends and I wanted a game we could all play, with some of us having very big computers (and expectations) and others with low power laptops only capable of handling Vanilla. I set about doing what I knew best, creating a modpack, in the hopes that I could build a rich environment full of content both old and new that scratched our itch for new and exciting content, while also filling the requirement of low performance laptops. After launching this modpack to my friends, we all had a blast and greatly enjoyed our time together.
Once 1.16 came out, I set about doing the same, adding in features with new knowledge of modpacks and optimisation, as well as new mods being released every day since the previous Foxcraft. Thus, Foxcraft 2, and once again all my friends enjoyed it.
Now we're on Foxcraft 3. Fabric is becoming more mature, and so has the Fabric modding community found its place and present theme. I thought it was about time I released this modpack series to Curseforge, after my friends and I have already spent over a month enjoying our server with this modpack installed.
