Ghost of Khaojee

Turn Minecraft into a samurai adventure inspired by Ghost of Tsushima. Built for NeoForge 1.21.1, this pack combines cinematic combat, katana-focused gameplay, and a moody Sengoku-era visual style on top of the Sengoku Jidai Mod by QwikSand as its core foundation.

Combat & Movement

• Katana-style melee combat via Better Combat, with a Punchy compatibility patch
• Combat Roll for dodge-based combat
• Camera Overhaul and Shoulder Surfing for a more cinematic third-person feel
• Immersive Horse Riding for smoother mounted travel

Visuals & Atmosphere

• Iris shaders with the Complementary Reimagined and Photon shader packs, patched via Euphoria Patcher
• Cinematic touches: Subtle Effects, Blood N' Particles, particle rain, falling leaves, tree physics, and windy weather effects
• Custom resource packs for fresh crops, colorful/rainbow foliage, lanterns, and player animations (Fresh Moves / Fresh Animations)
• Entity Texture Features and Entity Model Features for enhanced mob visuals, plus 3D skin layers

Performance

• Sodium, Iris, Reese's Sodium Options, Ferrite Core, Entity Culling, C2ME, and Distant Horizons to keep frame rates stable even with shaders and heavy visual mods running
• Chunky for pre-generating terrain

Immersion & QoL

• Ambient Sounds, Extra Sounds, and Presence Footsteps for environmental audio
• Xaero's World Map, Dynamic Crosshair, Better F3, Mod Menu, and JEI for everyday convenience

If your PC is below these specs, try lowering render distance from 12 to 8 or 6 chunks for better performance.

Known Issues & Fixes

Fresh Animations and Better Combat's attack animations don't play well together. To work around this, the pack includes Fresh Move as an optional resource pack — enable it while exploring, and switch back to the Fresh Animations pack during combat.
