Description

A Create-first modpack alongside a handful of other mods that aim to enhance the vanilla experience without relying on one-block tech solutions.
This means we avoided tech mods that power creep Create itself as well as features of vanilla when possible. That means no Thermal/RFTools, no pipes, no macerators, etc.
FAQ
Can I add Optifine?
Absolutely! It'll just about double the load time, but personally I find it hard to live without.
How much RAM to allocate?
4-6G I guess? I'm not an expert on this stuff, but the pack was designed to be fairly performant.
Just keep an eye on your memory usage, and if it seems high, allocate a little more.
[X] thing crashed or corrupted!
Learn to read logs, you won't regret it. They tend to say exactly what happened, and it feels good to know how to troubleshoot!
Alternatively (especially if it's a problem with the pack itself) send the log over to me, (discord) Hydra#3176.
I'll try my best to get to the bottom of it.
Why this specific version of Forge?
It caused the least crashes. If there is good reason to update, let me know. I'll get it sorted out ASAP.
Can I run shaders?
Ehhhhhhh, maybe? I tried, and personally it didn't perform well enough for my liking.
I recommend Complementary shaders if you do try; they offer some really nice customization settings.
My minimap is gone/wrong after an update!
Minimap data is stored in Instances/Gliblenapt Create/local/ftbchunks.
If you make a new instance, you will have to restore this yourself.
"Vanilla+" Disclaimer
The vanilla+ vision of this pack is not set in stone--a few mods fall slightly outside this category, notably:
Grappling Hook Mod
We thought the Titanfall-style enchants and the hooks themselves were just too cool not to use.
It's a bit powerful especially when compared to elytra (especially with rocket upgrade), but not necessarily power creep.
Tinkers' Construct
Again, personal preference; the new update is exciting! The smelters are arguably powerful, but not to a gamebreaking extent.
Sophisticated Backpacks
Very powerful backpack mod, but it seems quite good. I have modified the recipes in KubeJS to require shulker boxes.
Note that mobs by default can spawn with these packs and possibly drop them.
Supplementaries adds a 9-slot pack in the form of the Sack if you really need some early extra inventory space.
Apotheosis
The mod is great, but Affix loot can get a bit silly. Especially when cheesing out a boss to get legendary netherite loot early on.
Feel free to tweak the Deadly Module to reduce the spawn rate of these mobs or remove them entirely.
Magic Mods
Corail Tombstone
One I'm a bit iffy on, but a solid tombstone mod. Stripping enchants is arguably too powerful, but for now I'm keeping it.
Ars Nouveau
Arguably the worst offender / most powerful of the lot. However, Ars Magicka is something many of us are nostalgic for, so it goes in.
Botania
A classic, one that doesn't typically overlap heavily with other mods. Though an automated Botania setup with Create sounds fun!
