Description
What is GT Panzercraft?
GT Panzercraft is a huge modpack designed to emulate both the feelings of classic ol’ days modpacks and most modern modpacks while having it’s own set of quirks here and there. It is designed around GregTech and is leaning heavily towards progression albeit still incomplete as of now.
This modpack is mainly inspired by GTNH, RLCraft, Prominence 2, All The Mods 10, and many others. But eventually, this modpack will be something more akin to Terraria's Calamity mod in the far future that is.
The Contents
GT Panzercraft includes a certain selection of mods, and although many mods here were still not integrated to the intended modpack design, many changes has been made through KubeJS, CraftTweaker, and their respective configs.
Mods:
- Survival: Cold Sweat, Thirst, Ecliptic Season, Spice of Life, Farmer's Delight, and also GregTech, all changes the starting progression that you sort of use. Crafting tables requires logs and flints, you start at 5 hearts, and all along that you're thirsty while the scorching summer is coming to burn off your crops. Oh, and did i mention that every day in here is longer than vanilla thanks to Better Days? and you know what, Iron tools and most items above it are BANNED until you get enough skills to use them properly, thanks to Reskillable.
- Technology: Have i mentioned we use GregTech? but don't worry haha, some other tech mods here like Applied Energistics 2, Industrial Foregoing, and Powah, will surely help you before you hop on it.
- Dangers: Ice and Fire is here, and unfortunately, the dragons has all been buffed. GregTech too has enviromental damage covered for you. And in case you haven't seen it, there are levels to this mobs, thanks to Dynamic Difficulty.
- Beauty: The nature of this modpack has been completely revamped in comparison to vanilla world. Like, imagine Tectonic with custom config i made myself, in combination with Regions Unexplored, Oh The Biomes We've Gone, and Geophilic. Like, just play the modpack, and turn on the shaders (which i've preconfigured for you too)
- Exploration: You know what they say When Dungeons Arise? you go to the Sky Arena, and perhaps find some of Luki's Grand Capitals or CT Overhauled Villages on your way. Structure spawning has been modified too, thanks to Sparse Structures.
- Bosses: Cataclysm, Stellarity, and BOMD are the bosses of focus here. Though if you really wanna fight them all, may the Qlipoth Awakening, be with you.
- Progression: There's just so much way to be strong here, i'm not spoiling much, other than the fact that you have ProjectE AND ProjectExpansion, that both are balanced along this modpack (kinda WIP). And, yeah, Avaritia is here too, what am i hiding even.
Additions to That:
- Potentially THOUSANDS of custom quests that are spread through over 13 Chapters (which, i. haven't even finished 2% of it, like, no kidding, Ch.1 has 67 quests, Ch.2 and so on, is unfinished), All of them covers almost every mod in this modpack, even niche ones (is HotKettle still niche though?).
- Instead of making shops, this modpack has a certain wish mechanic where you can have a chance to get rare resources through trading a repeatable quest. In short, a gacha system, but the currency is your in game resource (otherwise that would be bad).
- Many other things are TBA.
System Requirements?
The general minimum specs isn’t defined, but are somewhere within the advanced settings recommendation as such:
- Allocate at minimum 8 GB of RAM to Minecraft, 10 GB can be better depending on shaders used, 12 GB and beyond may work but untested.
- You may use java optimization settings, however for gc, g1 is the baseline and has been tested with this modpack, shenandoah may run a bit better but has never been tested, so take cautions.
You can report to me about your problems or how smoothly this modpack runs in your system, however i cannot guarantee that i can fix it, as some problems may stem from the mods within and not the modpack itself.
"Can I Use This Modpack for XYZ?"
Yes, you can use this modpack for:
- Personal single player games.
- Multiplayer servers (SMPs, idk how to config it tho).
- Experimenting or benchmarking your device (why though?).
- Learning GregTech cause you don't wanna play GTNH for it.
- Learning Chemistry (also because of GregTech).
- Learning Engineering (i don't have to explain this, right?)
- Aim training.
- Designing builds.
- Testing your personal mod's performance, stability, and compatibility in a large modpack.
- Storytelling.
No, you cannot use this modpack for:
- Evil (JSON license).
- Anything prohibited by the mod licenses within the modpack.
- Redistributing this modpack to unauthorized sites.
- Re-skinning this modpack as another modpack. Essentially, fooling people, essentially, evil.
The two lists above may or may not be expanded in future version of this modpack.
What Now?
GT Panzercraft aims to have our completion time at ~200-1000 Hours, though for now, it is unspeculable. Currently the modpack has plans for:
- Future Custom Bosses
- Future Custom OSTs
You can reach out to me anywhere if you have specific questions regarding anything within this modpack, i'd be glad to help
