The Short Version:
This pack takes everything Minecraft has to offer and adds something to it, but it doesn't go too far. it has mods with magic, exploration, building, and danger. Take a chance and see what you can get into.

The Longer Version:
Half way modded was originally based on Life in the Woods by Phedran. I wanted to update the pack to a newer version of minecraft, so i went to work.
I had to remove some mods because they were not officially updated to the version of minecraft I wanted to use, and I tried to replace them with mods that provided similar features. During this process, I realized that my pack was slowly deviating away from the original image Phedran intended for Life in the Woods.
Even though I wanted to stick closely to that image, I also really wanted to play with certain mods that had come out for the newer versions of minecraft. This is when I decided to move away from Phedran's image for Life in the Woods and continue developing the pack in my own image.
Standard kitchen sink packs tend to have every high tech, and fancy piece of machinery added into them. These are fun,
but they also take away from the game once you obtain these high end pieces of equipment. On the other hand, I wanted something
more than just vanilla Minecraft. That is when I decided to try and go Half Way. This modpack contains many mods, but not those that go too far with what they change. Things that make minecraft too easy or too hard are excluded from the pack.
By design, you cannot become "OP" in this pack, but you also wont die endlessly either.
Some things are made more difficult, and some things are added to give you more things to play with.
There are magic mods, building mods, survival mods, exploration mods, and comfort mods. This is done to give everyone something they enjoy to do.
I really hope you enjoy!
