Modpack News

Big overhaul coming soon

11.jpg?width=960&height=701

The modpack is still in its early stages of development, and some of the things on the page are reflecting the idea and the finished modpack.

What is Journey's End?

Journey's Ends is a modpack designed to bring the best and most enjoyable experience out there. From the progression through all the mods to all the added and changed survival elements, this modpack would have you going through many emotions. However, don't let that worry you because, rather than making things dull and unpleasant from the moment you start a new world, it is setup to completely scale with the players' progression. If you would like a list of things that will convince you to try this modpack, well, scroll down and check out the features. However, before you start, you must answer one question. Can you survive the journey?

Themes

1.Expect: bring a multimod experience requiring automation and knowledge to be successfully in this modpack.

2.Hardcore: Progressive difficulty that will never let you feel that this modpack is easy.

3. Being Reworked come back later

4.Adventure and RPG: Bring exploration and excitement to your gameplay, because being at your base 24/7 is no fun.

5.Magic and Tech: Allows you to enjoy new aspects of Minecraft and adds complexity and life to the modpack.

Features

In a spoiler because there is a lot

Currently a work in progress, due to the fact the I have to adjust the modpack to make this happen however I will update this over time. However, this modpack will have increased difficulty, changes crafting recipes, mining, farming, and many survival changes.

Goals

The goal of this modpack is to keep the vanilla feel of Minecraft while having a complex modpack. While the modpack can be complex, my side goal is to make sure that the modpack is balanced. There is a level of complexity, but there is still a level of simplicity. Yes, those two counters each other, but the experience that this modpack will provide is going to be one of a kind. with a lot of custom recipes, mechanics, and so much more. This is done in many steps. One of the many steps taken is by making sure that the world feels alive and that any actions that the player takes will make the player rethink any future actions that they take. For example, a very common one is to make an entering nether portal that will release new mobs into the overworld and increase the difficulty while rewarding the player with new resources. Making sure that the player faces a few obstacles just to play with some mods If you're looking for a kitchen pack, this is not the modpack for you. (This statement is a work in progress)

Shader

The modpack has its own shader setting that it uses to enhance the general feel of the modpack. Of course, you can use any shader you want, with whatever setting you want. However, this shader setting is tweaked for the modpack. Complementary Reimagined is the shader that will work with the setting. The reason why complementary reimagined was picked is because it is much more performance friendly. Now you will have to download and install it or launch the modpack and you will see a button to install the shader. (This has not been added yet) You will have to do it yourself since I can't provide it in the modpack.

 Lore

In a spoiler just in case you don't know to be spoiler however I will try not to spoil much and it's a good starting place

Questions

Why did I redo the page and modpack??

While, ME-Playing Enhanced could have been great. I have no vision of what I want the modpack to be. That would have led to the modpack becoming a kitchen sink pack, and I didn't want that to happen. So, I took some time to think, and I realized that I had no idea of what I wanted to make. I didn't like the name of the modpack. The logo was a screenshot taken in the nether that doesn't even look good. So, I am redesigning everything in the modpack; the name, logo, themes, design, and more. I have a goal in mind, but I will reveal it in the 1.0.9 release.

Message from the author

Hello, this is the modpack author, basically the owner, but I like the author more. That, however, is unimportant. Firstly, if you made it this far down, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read through or just making it down here, and I hope you go back up and install the modpack. Second, if you download the modpack, I'd appreciate you taking the time to play it. I hope you like it, and if you have any issues, just go to the issues tab. Lastly, if you share the modpack with your friends or anyone, thank you for helping the growth of the modpack. I am basically working on this modpack in my free time, so if any update is delayed or takes super long, that is why. Anyone that shares this modpack with anyone will greatly appreciate it. However, this is all from me.

 Credits

Inspired

Journey's End is heavily inspired by terraria, Escape to Tarkov, and more. However, it also draws different elements for different modded packs. The difficulty of Rlcraft, the amazing mechanics and complexity of Rebirth of the Night and Divine Journey 2, the mod synergy and expects mode of E2E and E6E. So much more progression than SevTech, Divine Journey 2 and so much more. While I draw inspiration from different games and modpacks, I have tried to add my twist to each thing.

Major credit

Since tags are an important part of any modpack, I take zero credit for the unity and tags scripts in this modpack. These are edited versions of all the mods unity and tags from their modpack to work in this modpack. Due to not asking if the scripts are OK to use. If told to in a heartbeat, I will remove the scripts and adjust properly. In addition, I would like to thank the modpacks listed in Inspired for the hours of fun and gameplay.
