Description
Before you play: Most shaders currently might be unstable with anything 1.1.0 and above, due to issues with CLOTH CONFIG the game will crash twice on start-up and then never again.
It's the middle of the night, your eyes glued to the screen as you mine mindlessly at a piece of deepslate with an iron pickaxe for 30 hours, sure you could TNT mine after spending four hours making a mob farm that barely works or go spelunking in the totally not bullshit 1.19 caves that have 30x more monsters in it for some god-awful reason only to find at max five or four diamonds. What? You don't want to do that?
Thank goodness we're playing the wild update! There's so much to do! Like play with THREE BLOCKS, 2 HALFASSED BIOMES AND TWO HIGHLY SITUATIONAL MOBS while things like base vanilla FPS and quality of life adjustments go ignored as we prepare for the 1.20 update that just has jeb crying on the title screen for 60 minutes because he got a papercut and had to delay the update til 1.22, which then gets posted on the front page of reddit and upvoted so hard it crashed the internet. Mind you, they had us fighting over which two pixels (commonly known as a mob) gets to be put in the game to serve no use like a bunch of blood hungry SAVAGES
Seriously, these are the things that got delayed for the "Wild" Update:
•Fireflies (canceled)
•Birch Forest Update (canceled)
•Bundles (postponed)
•Archeology (postponed)
•Copper goat horns (removed)
•Wax block/crystallized honey (removed)
•Fletching Table (no uses)
•Rest of biome updates (postponed indefinitely)
•Mine-con Live 2019 "Illusionists were mentioned as potential candidates for addition to raids"(canceled or postponed)
"B-But they're just a small indie studio! Give them a break!"
Watch this video with a straight face I am fucking daring you
So, what's going to happen? Will they learn to respond to feedback and make genuine changes?
No, not at all. That's why I'm here today with the second-best solution
Just Let Me MINE is the aptly named Modpack that aims to add solutions to a lot of time-gated gameplay decisions and lazy excuses Mojang has littered around the game ever since the release of 1.9
with that being said, what has been added/re-adjusted?
Currently:
- All of the games U.I and menus have been improved with tactile audio and a new coat of paint
- A general audio and music renovation
- Thanks to many talented artists (looking at you, Farcr) many of the textures have been treated with an immense amount of care and have been remastered in a way I can give the seal of approval as not being annoying, like a certain texture pack
- 300+ New blocks and items to mess around with that don't distract from playing block game the way god intended
- Many, if not ALL major bugs have been fixed
- YOU CAN MINE DEEPSLATE AT THE SAME SPEED AS STONE
- Q.O.L features out the ass
- Compatible with the Essential mod (If it isn't somehow, leave a comment and I'll fix it. Give it a try its the BEST)
Overall, this Modpack is the culmination of a year and a half of learning what made Minecraft nice to play with when things weren't as complicated in our lives as it is now. Having gone through 8 iterations before being considered barely complete. I hope it gives you as much enjoyment playing as I did creating the pack.
