What is that modpack!?

Hey! Lavender Flowers (Legacy) is a minimalistic modpack which contains magic mods, some nature-based ones, decorations/vanilla+ as well quality of life mods, for 1.7.10.

Most mods do not change Vanilla drastically but rather improve it, so I would recommend it as a soft introduction for players joining the mod community or beggining to play Minecraft.

Also, note that two worlds come together with the modpack, but they are not needed and you can just create a new one. I'll explain why they exist further below.

Which mods are there?

The modpack contains:

• Thaumcraft (Magic, yay! Plus some addons like Gadomancy, Thaumic Exploration, etc.)
• Botania (Nature-based magic, yay!)
• Blood Magic (Dark sided magic, yay!) 
• Witchery (Magic-ish magic, yay!)
• The Aether II & The Twilight Forest (Another dimesions for you to explore ;) )
• Decoration mods like Chisel, Carpenter's Blocks, Bibliocraft, Decocraft, etc.
• Utility mods like NEI, Waila, Voxel Maps (Minimap and Worldmap) , Jabba, Iron chests, Inventory Tweaks, etc.

I would also recommend adding Optfine to the modpack! I left the shaders I used playing the mods, which alre also lightweight.

Who is it for?

Since the modpack is lightweighted, minimalistic and does not alter Vanilla that much, I recommend it for:

• Minecraft beginners;
• Folks who just started playing mods or are considering to do so;
• People who can't afford to buy a great desktop. ("Poor gamers of the world, unite!")

What is the meaning behind the name?

This is a rather complicated question. There is not a simple answer to it. 

So, long story short: before my boyfrined dumped me, we used to play this modpack. I originally created because I wanted to play a modpack with him but neither of us had great computers. As we created the world and started to play there, I noticed a beatiful lavender field near where we were establishing our base. The lavender field is from Biomes O' Plenty, and I had never seen something like that before. One of the prettiest views of my experience in gaming. I was so happy to have that lavender field right next to our house. I even took some flowers  with me to decorate our surroundings. Up to this day the lavender field still enchants me.

The symbology of a lavender flower itself is very beautiful, in my opinion. They have such a unique color and smell. Also, I have never seen a lavender field in real life. The name might also represent my desire to see one personally!

There is also a melancholy attached to the name. After being dumped, the world was (obviously) completely abandoned, together with the lavender field. Now the lavender flowers are just a beautiful collections of 0's and 1's which don't get played or appreciated again, forever abandoned. I tend to think the lavenders field as a metaphor to what loving him was like.

Why is there "(legacy)" in the name?

I'm actually working on a new, improved version of this modpack, with more mods (maintaining the magic/nature/minimal vibe). I'm releasing this version so I'll always have that part of my story with me.

Why are there two worlds together with the modpack?

They are there just for historic purposes, like a musem. The "marquinhos & ighao" world (named after our cute nicknames) is the world we builded together, as we left it. There are not many things, actually. And the "marquinhos & ighao (from zero)" is just the world but with nothing on it. Useful if you want to play in the same seed as we played! (And mayber encounter the lavender field I metioned before). But, being pratical, just create a new world that you're not missing anything.
