is a unique, atmospheric modpack that reimagines Minecraft through a lens of faith, realism, and traditional beauty. This is not a guided tour or a heavily structured expert pack. Instead, it is a sandbox exploration experience designed to bring the ancient aesthetic and contemplative atmosphere of Orthodox Christian tradition into your world.

Our goal is to create an immersive environment that encourages you to slow down, build with purpose, and experience the world of Minecraft as if for the first time.

This pack does not force a "progression" on you. There are no linear quest chains you must follow to unlock items. We have carefully curated and configured a collection of mods to deepen the survival experience, making it more grounded and immersive. We believe that by making the world feel more solid and real, we encourage players to stay and engage with it on a deeper level.

• → Rediscover the Vanilla Feeling: Every feature is balanced to support the core "explore, survive, create" loop, but with significantly enhanced detail and atmosphere.
• → Contemplative Building: We focus heavily on Monastic Architecture and traditional aesthetics. Whether you are constructing a small eremitic cell or a vast monastery complex, you will find beautiful, thematic blocks and tools to bring your spiritual vision to life.
• → Your Personal Pilgrimage: How you engage with the faith aspects is entirely up to you. We provide the atmosphere and the tools; you create the journey. This is a space for you to interpret the world through your own eyes and build your own story.
• → Features Impacting overal gameplay: Biomes are 4x larger, Structures are 3x more spread apart, Stamina, Slower Health Regen, Custom Digging Speed, No Tree Punch, Advanced Mobs (they can hear you), Thirst, Mining Fatigue and so on.

⚙️ Minimal Requirements (For optimal experience) ⚙️

• → Allocated RAM: 4GB - 6GB (Recommended)
  
  
• → If you intend to use shaders, a capable graphics card is recommended. Monastic Crafts is designed to be played with Hysteria Shaders for the best atmospheric experience. If you are using the CurseForge App, these will be downloaded automatically with the pack!

⚠️ Important: The "Distant Horizons" Performance Rule ⚠️

• → This pack uses Distant Horizons (DH) to give you massive render distances. To ensure you have the best experience, please read this:
• → The "First Join" Lag: When you first join a world, your FPS will drop and you may see low GPU usage. This is because the mod is using your CPU to generate background "LOD" data.
• → The "Invisible" Worker: Even if you disable DH rendering in-game, the mod continues to collect data in the background. It only stops once it has "scanned" your surrounding area.
• → Stay in "Minimal Impact": We have set the mod to Minimal Impact for a reason. Do not switch this to "Aggressive." * Aggressive Mode will ruin your experience by eating every bit of CPU power, causing constant micro-stutters and making the game unplayable, rather than just slightly reducing your frames.

The Solution: Stay in one place for 1-2 minutes when you first join. Once the mod has collected enough data from your most-visited chunks, the CPU will relax, your GPU will take back full priority, and the game will become extremely smooth.
