Description

Hello!

This modpack was originally created collaboratively by a group of coworkers for our server. The server has since shut down, but I've continued to develop this modpack for my own personal playthroughs.

The main focus is placed on exploration and adventuring in new dimensions, with some common QoL improvements and a few one-off mods that I personally liked. The major content additions are listed below, but this list is not comprehensive:

  • World Additions:
    • Abridged
    • Alex's Mobs
    • ATi Structures
    • Blue Skies
    • Bosses of Mass Destruction
    • ChoiceTheorem's Overhauled Villages
    • Cracker's Wither Storm (Moved to a different dimension)
    • Nightosphere (Subtle Nether improvements)
    • Endercon (Subtle End improvements)
    • Lynch's Hostile Mobs Expansion
    • Macabre: Call of False Prophets (New entry/exit methods have been added)
    • Sculk Horde  (Moved to a different dimension)
    • Terralith (Biomes are configured to be 4x the normal size with more spread out Overworld structures)
    • Geophilic (With Terralith compat)
    • The Abandoned World
    • The After (The entry/exit structures have been replaced with custom versions)
    • The Undergarden (Entry/Exit methods have been changed)
    • Places (Entry structure moved to a different dimension)
    • Waystones (Only Sharestones are craftable)
    • YUNG's Better Collection (Bridges, Better Mineshafts, and YUNG's Extras are excluded)
  • Gameplay Changes/New Mechanics:
    • Advancement Frames
    • Better Combat & Better Weaponry (Some weapons are disabled to reduce clutter)
    • Curios
    • Domestication Innovation
    • Amendments (Many features are disabled by default)
    • Supplementaries (Many features are disabled by default)
    • Simply Stacked Dimensions
    • Gliders (crafting recipe for Reinforced Paper is much cheaper now)
    • Gravestones
    • Immersive Aircraft
    • Immersive Machinery
    • More Bows CJ & More Crossbows CJ
    • Nature's Compass & Explorer's Compass
    • OpenBlocks Trophies (drop rates are tweaked so that bosses drop their trophies much more often)
    • Raided
    • Rope Bridge
    • Modular Backpacks
    • Tide 2
  • Quality of Life Changes:
    • Ambient Environment
    • Battle Music
    • Beds Don't Explode
    • Distant Horizons
    • Glowing Illagers
    • HT's TreeChop
    • Villager Names
    • Illager Raid Music
    • Improved Village Placement
    • Jade
    • JEI & JER
    • JourneyMap
    • Not Enough Animations
    • Paintings ++
    • Sound Physics Remastered
    • Starter Kit
    • Traveler's Titles
    • and all the currently recommended performance mods...
  • Included Datapacks Packs:
    • ctov-domestication-innovation-add-on-v2-0
    • Remove_Terralith_Intro_Message_v1.1
    • Tide Extra Compatibility 2.2
    • terralith_4x_biome_size
    • and many custom-written ones for tweaks and compatibility...

A Note on Resource Packs:

  • All external resource packs are included in the standard resourcepacks folder for credit and visibility only. Paxi loads copies of these packs located within config>paxi>resourcepacksthese are the actual files that the game is loading.

This modpack also contains some handpicked music tracks from the following:

Notes on Performance:

  • The default settings were tested with an RTX 3080Ti and 16G of RAM allocated. You may have to adjust your settings based on your own PC specs, especially if you're playing on Integrated Graphics.
  • Disabling shaders will get you the biggest FPS boost, and disabling Distant Horizons will get you the biggest TPS boost.

Notes for First Time Players:

  • The Dimensional Field Guide will give you a brief rundown of all the new dimensions as well as the primary methods of entering/leaving them. Note that there may be other methods not listed in the book...
  • Nearly every dimension will have a giant obelisk near its center (coords 0,0). Each obelisk spawns with an indestructible Waystone. These are the only Waystones you'll find in the game, but once you've activated them, you can teleport between dimensions at will.
  • Sharestones can still be crafted, but they cannot teleport you across dimensions.
  • Combat works a little differently now: hold LMB while holding a weapon to cycle through that weapon's combo. It's more intuitive than it sounds, trust me.
  • There are a lot of new ranged and melee weapons, as well as shields, craftable at all tiers.
  • The Explorer's Compass, Glider, Bridge and Ladder Guns, and Backpack are crucial tools for any explorer.
  • Immersive Aircraft and Machinery also provide many new utilities.
  • Jars can hold multiple stacks(?) of any potion and can be drunk from directly.
  • New bosses are scattered about all dimensions that drop extremely useful gear if defeated. See the Bosses of Mass Destruction documentation for more info.
  • Villages are much rarer, but also much larger and more developed.
  • On death, you will drop a gravestone containing all your curios and inventory, including your backpack.
  • And as always, please head to the comments for any suggestions or discovered bugs.

Known Issues:

  • Currently, defeating the final phase of the Wither Storm will cause a hard crash. This is due to a bug with the dimension it was moved to that is triggered by teleporting into it with a command instead of a portal or waystone. Simply relaunch the game and you'll load into the correct dimension.
  • "A Blood Moon Rises..." I have no idea what added this or what it actually does...
