Hello!

This modpack was originally created collaboratively by a group of coworkers for our server. The server has since shut down, but I've continued to develop this modpack for my own personal playthroughs.

The main focus is placed on exploration and adventuring in new dimensions, with some common QoL improvements and a few one-off mods that I personally liked. The major content additions are listed below, but this list is not comprehensive:

  • World Additions:
    • Abridged
    • Alex's Caves
    • Alex's Mobs
    • ATi Structures
    • Blue Skies
    • Bosses of Mass Destruction
    • ChoiceTheorem's Overhauled Villages
    • Cracker's Wither Storm (Moved to the Abandoned World dimension)
    • Demi's Sky Arena (Moved to the Feur Dimensional Skyland dimension)
    • Endercon
    • Feur Dimensional Skyland
    • Incendium (The Toxic Heap biome and several structures are disabled)
    • Macabre: Call of False Prophets
    • Sculk Horde (Moved to the Afterdark dimension)
    • Structory
    • Terralith (Biomes are configured to be 4x the normal size with more spread out Overworld structures)
    • The Abandoned World (Custom structures have been added to spawn the Wither Storm)
    • The After (The entry/exit structures have been replaced with custom versions)
    • The Afterdark (The entry/exit structures have been replaced with custom versions)
    • Voidscape
    • Waystones
    • YUNG's Better Collection (Bridges, Better Mineshafts, and YUNG's Extras are excluded)
  • Gameplay Changes/New Mechanics:
    • Advancement Frames
    • Better Combat & Better Weaponry (Some weapons are disabled to reduce clutter)
    • Comforts
    • Domestication Innovation
    • Forgiving World - Dimension Stacking
    • Gliders (crafting recipe for Reinforced Paper is much cheaper now)
    • Gravestones
    • Immersive Aircraft
    • Modern Minecarts
    • More Bows CJ & More Crossbows CJ
    • Nature's Compass & Explorer's Compass
    • OpenBlocks Trophies (drop rates are tweaked so that bosses drop their trophies much more often)
    • Raided
    • Rope Bridge
    • Sophisticated Backpacks
    • Sophisticated Storage
  • Quality of Life Changes:
    • Ambient Environment
    • Battle Music (configured for all added bosses)

    • Distant Horizons
    • Glowing Illagers
    • HT's TreeChop
    • Illager Raid Music

This modpack also contains some handpicked music tracks from the following:

Notes on Performance:

  • The default settings were tested with an RTX 2080 and 8G of RAM allocated. You may have to adjust your settings based on your own PC specs, especially if you're playing on Integrated Graphics.
  • Disabling shaders will get you the biggest FPS boost, and disabling Distant Horizons will get you the biggest TPS boost.

Notes for First Time Players:

  • The Dimensional Field Guide in the starting cabin will give you a brief rundown of all the new dimensions as well as the primary methods of entering/leaving them. Note that there may be other methods not listed in the book...
  • The Dimensional Explorer's Checklist in the same cabin contains a list of very useful early-game items to craft.
  • Combat works a little differently now: hold LMB while holding a weapon to cycle through that weapon's combo. It's more intuitive than it sounds, trust me.
  • There are a lot of new ranged and melee weapons, as well as shields, craftable at all tiers.
  • New bosses are scattered about all dimensions that drop extremely useful gear if defeated. See the Bosses of Mass Destruction documentation for more info.
  • Villages are much rarer, but also much larger and more developed. Every village will spawn with a Waystone.
  • On death, you will drop a gravestone containing all your curios and inventory, including your backpack.
  • And as always, please head to the comments for any suggestions or discovered bugs.

Plans for the (very far) Future:

  • Add some more custom structures belonging to the Dimensional Explorers who came before you
  • Find a way to get The Deep Void to actually run in this pack because it's awesome
  • Convert the custom guidebooks to Patchouli books
  • Find a way to add more incentive to explore The Abandoned World (Wither Storm compat?)
  • Pester The Abandoned World author to fix the issue causing crashes whenever you try to teleport into the dimension via command
  • Find a way to prevent the starting cabin from generating in the ocean
