About

Description

If you plan to use this modpack, it may be a good idea to allocate more RAM to your game.

At the very end of this description is a list of all mods used, including library mods, for the purpose of crediting the many talented authors that made the mods in this pack, as well as to allow you to further inform yourself on certain features if needed.

The intent of this modpack is to expand on what makes Minecraft a good game, while also changing it up enough to feel more interesting, and not necessarily to be some end-all be-all for modpacks, as I consider it pretty moderate, due to it's goal of running on relatively mid PC specs (such as the laptop I made it on), that said, this mod is likely not running on any absolute potatoes I fear. If, however, you feel confident in your PC's ability to run this pack, I recommend grabbing a build of Complementary Shaders, and maybe VanillaTweaks as well

This pack utilizes the Essential mod, Simple Voice Chat, and Dynamic Sound Filters to make multiplayer easy, accessible, and immersive, includes support for controllers for players who prefer to play using controllers, and improves movement in 3rd person view. In addition, Dynamic Sound Filters, Dynamic Surroundings Remastered, Presence Footsteps, ExtraSounds, and Dynamic Music Updated all improve upon the sound design by adding music cues, environmental ambience, interaction sounds, and audio effects, while Illuminations adds ambient particle effects to make the world feel more lively and real.

Sodium (alongside it's compatibility layer, Indium, it's supplementary mods, Phosphor and Lithium, Iris for shader support, Better Sodium Video Settings (BSVB for short) to make menu navigation more intuitive, and Sodium Extra for additional advanced settings) works with Dynamic View to optimize the game and potentially reduce lag spikes / low fps while also allowing the game to look better / utilize more advanced graphics, though nothing can be guaranteed

Inventory Profiles Next, Mouse Wheelie, Smooth Swapping, and Mouse Tweaks all serve to make the inventory more intuitive from both a functional and visual standpoint, by adding needed features such as sorting and automatic item replacement, whereas Roughly Enough Items gives you a view of every single item in the game, allowing you to check every possible crafting method if you're not sure how to get an item. Jade is used as a substitute for mods like HWYLA, allowing you to identify a block simply by looking at it.

Bosses of Mass Destruction, AdventureZ, Enhanced Celestials, and Eldritch Mobs all make the game's core combat more exiting and varied by either simply adding more mobs, adding entire bossfights, miniboss arenas or random events such as blood moons, or by adding modifiers atop existing mobs. This is paired with Damage Indicator Mod so that you always know what you're dealing with,  Yung's structure mods (listed below) and When Dungeons Arise to add challenging, though rewarding, labrynths to fight your way through, with the Twilight Forest mod giving you an entire dimension with a progressive bossfight system, and Rat's Mischief giving you sidekicks.

The combo of Nyf's Spiders and Spiders Produce Webs make spiders absolute nightmares to fight due to AI improvements and an ability to leave cobweb blocks around.

Create, Create Crafts & Additions, and Modern Dyanamics all add steampunk-esque machinery to the game for wacky Rube Goldberg contraptions, functional Item delivery systems, Automatic crafting, transportation, and even decor.

Bed Benefits and Realistic Sleep change the way sleeping works so that it no longer simply skips night, but actually accelerates time until sunrise, removes status effects, and heals the player.

Farmer's Delight, Expanded Delight, Farmer's Knives, and Straw Golems Rebaled all add content to the culinary side of Minecraft, by adding wild crops littered across the world, adding additional ways to prepare food, and, of course, adding tons of extra foods that all have unique attributes, including status effects. Straw Golems help with farming, to make the experience more enjoyable.

Oh, The Biomes You'll go adds tons of biomes to the Overworld, End, and Nether, which has been further expanded thanks to Amplified Nether allowing The Nether to use the full world height, and Cinderscapes adding more biomes still.

Copper Equipment and Return Copper Horns add much needed uses for copper, alongside Create, which also utilizes it a lot.

Enchantment Descriptions, Xaero's Minimap/Worldmap, Appleskin, Jade, Damage Indicators, and Dynamic Crosshair all add more information to the hud, allowing the player to better assess any situation they find themselves in, and easily place map markers to avoid getting lost.

Decorative Blocks and More Decorative Blocks add, of course, decorations to expand possibilities when building.

Finally, Clumps, Charm, Visual Workbench, LambDynamicLights, and the aforementioned Essential mod are personal favorite QOL mods that add features such as XP orbs combining, double doors opening in pairs, handheld torches emitting light, zooming without a telescope, massively improved multiplayer, and the ability to leave items in a crafting table to resume crafting at a later time if needed.
