About

Description

I recommend allocating at least 5GB of RAM in the launcher before starting the game

Requires Optifine's "custom entity model" feature!

New Fantasy is a modpack for version 1.12.2 aimed at turning the usual Minecraft into a fantasy RPG game.

The world of New Fantasy is filled with a variety of new and interesting structures, improved villages, tons of new weapons and armor, magic, unique relics, new worlds and bosses.

Fight enemy knights by raiding their forts and castles, help villagers defend themselves against new dangerous creatures, or become a necromancer with your own army of the undead. All this is possible here!

You can become an invincible warrior in this new, strange world, but never underestimate your opponents, because one small mistake and your journey will be over...

When creating the project, I was inspired by such modpacks as RLCraft, Better Minecraft and Hexit, taking what I liked the most from each and combining it with my vision of the perfect fantasy modpack.

I'm working on the project alone, so it took me 3 years to create the release version and 1 more year to make a total rewamp. But this way I had more opportunities to work on every single detail, even the smallest, from resource packs and mod retexturing to game structures, balance and even custom mods.

In the future, I plan to further develop the project by adding new structures, refining the balance, and making a couple of mods for the modpack to make it as close to the ideal as possible (at least my subjective one).

When creating a new world, you will be given a choice of several races to play as (all of which have their own advantages and disadvantages): human, fairy, elf, dwarf, goblin, and faelis.

Please note that the game does not have natural regeneration, so you will need to make elixirs, use healing magic, make potions or look for food that gives a regeneration effect. Also, crafting of all vanilla wooden tools is disabled. But don't worry, as you will have a small set of resources at the start of the game.

Villages and villagers in this modpack are very important because new villages are a storehouse of many resources. And the new upgraded villagers have very good and useful trades. Villagers trade for a new currency - gold coins, which can be obtained by trading, completing quests, or found as loot in dungeons.

Modpack contains a huge arsenal of new weapons, shields and armor. New spartan-like weapon sets, remade weapons from popular mods such as Aether Legacy, Mowzies Mobs, etc. Many custom armor sets from a wide variety of materials such as rare ores, crystals, or armor from parts of powerful bosses.

The game has a quality system for weapons and armor. When creating almost any item, it can get a quality. The quality can be neutral, good or bad, and depending on it, the item will have certain buffs and debuffs. The quality can be changed by making a reforging station and using the material from which the item is made, or by using glowing ingots.

Among the known disadvantages of the modpack is the relatively long (1-2 minutes) loading of your world when you first create it. I recommend that you focus on the mini-map on the side when it is loaded - you can start your game without any problems.

The following is a list of materials used in the Resource Loader:

  1. Eden;
  2. Aether: Regenerated;
  3. Jappafied Aethers;
  4. Vanilla Future Texture;
  5. Ron's Ice and Fire redux;
  6. Animated And Emissive: Ice and Fire and Spartan Weaponry;
  7. Animated and Emissive: Forgotten Items;
  8. BetterEnd Chorus flowers;
  9. Stay True;
  10. Land of the Sun;
  11. Realistic Villagers;

The following is a list of materials used in the New Fantasy resource pack:

  1. Fresh Animations; (Enderman and Iron golem)
  2. Lord Wither;
  3. Player Villager Models;
  4. Ender Dragon Reforged;

The modpack also uses a cut-down version of the Append Pack addon for the Little Maid Reengaged Firis Patch. This version removes all the 'controversial' skins for the maids, for a more family-friendly look.
