About

Description

Odd Balanced Elements is a 1.11.2 modpack with a mix of mods based around making Stone tier tools more difficult while providing new experiences to do familiar things.

Mods like Air Hop, Bow Scope, Portable Armor Stand, Passthrough Signs, Chest Locator, Spawner Locator & Particlers Toggler assist players with jumping gaps, hitting targets, swapping armour on the go, accessing things through signs & item frames, locating storage containers or Mob Spawners (in Mineshaft, Dungeons and more) and toggling Particles with a keybinding so it's less clicks to access the Video Settings menu.

Among others for tool benefits with McAssistant and Unusing, macros with ModMacros, instant pickup when close enough and upon breaking (Instant Pickup Mod), no drift with creative flight added by No Drift, portable crafting with Portable Craft Bench, carrying storage containers with a wand using Spider Wand, storing XP with a wand from Wand of Experience, Building Wands (BogglesBuilderWands), and more tweak mods.

While other mods like Watersink make mobs and players sink in water, to mods like Make Clay Valuable Again changing the start of the game so players need to acquire Clay from Skeletons to make Clay Tools (acting and replacing the Stone tool tier,, making Stone tools uncraftable) before they can get to Iron, but if they use the potential from The Survivalist's Mod they can get to Iron tier through Tree/Wood aspects. Giving the start more challenge.

The pack while having a fair challenge and many quality of life or player benefit mods has a mix of tech/magic. Machines from QDC for farming and a different approach to getting blocks/items, Extreme Energy for typical machines along with a different power system (Static that appears in chunks but there is still mods for generating RF besides Extreme Energy but you can convert Static and RF). Utility mod/mixed content mods like Vanilla Extras and Lighting Additions adding Block Breakers, a Mining dimension, other generators and more.

On the magic front there is Vanilla Magic to give an approach at 'magic' but with a summoning/quarry/crafting twist the Vanilla way.

Other than tweaks, tech & magic is a bunch of automation, redstone, tools/armour, transport (item/fluid/power along with minecart loading and unloading), building and Vanilla recipe mods.
