Description
This is a a modpack built from the ground up to be optimized while adding some new features and enhancing old ones that I felt needed tweaks. Thus, it's a mostly Vanilla+ modpack with RPG elements, including starting classes... but don't let these beginning points define your entire play style. Unless you want to. Nothing prevents you from dipping your toes into other aspects, but no one is stopping you from honing that playstyle even more. Minecraft is full of whimsy;
Core Features:
- Efficient and Optimized:
- This is based on the (very accurately named) Fabulously Optimized modpack with many additions, making it my own 'pack while using FO only as a baseline to cover the optimization aspect which I struggle to understand.
- Starting Classes:
- The musical, horn-blowing Bard with fragments of a mysterious music disc that they want to complete to add to their collection.
- The magical Mage fitted with durable and magical robes, an impotent wand, some minor enchanting facilities, and only a couple of spells traveling to expand their
- The powerful Warrior simply seeking a fight.
- The exceedingly mobile, curious, ingenious, and... eccentric Inventor, looking for materials to fuel their next Redstone contraption... And a way to light the TNT they brought. Just to see what would happen.
- The Cleric of a strange (a)ethereal religion, bringing healing to their living allies and banishment to monsters and the denizens of the Nether that might dare try to cross over to the Overworld.
- The ever-wandering Ranger and flower-picking Druid have one thing in common: They. Love. Their. Doggies! Both of these classes start with an wolf companion by their side. Just be sure to make them immortal with the magical gem you're given! Not even death can keep these two from their best friends. The only difference? The Ranger prefers to hunt with their companion while the Druid relies on their mystical power over nature itself.
- The enigmatic Witch, who just wants to support their allies... or maybe you have a darker purpose? Your choice. Black magic? White? Or do you toe the line somewhere in the middle?
- The shadowy Rogue, equipped with bone armor from the depths of the Nether, invisibility potions, and a cursed sword that steals the life from all it touches.
- The humble but unexpectedly mystical Farmer, who just wants to live a simple life with their cows and their crops.
- Newly added: The mobile and powerful Knight, charging into battle on a horse, spear raised to their foes.
- Or maybe you just want some food, a shield, and a wooden sword and go?
- Or maybe you don't want any of these, and want to go with... something else? Hunt in... deeper biomes?
- Vanilla+:
- While nothing all too flashy, Minecraft never was at its core. I want to enhance Minecraft's more whimsical slower side, not make it hardcore. This isn't a dark, gritty medieval setting; it's a game about creativity and about life, and I want to enhance those aspects most of all.
- While hardcore isn't the goal, it could lend itself well to Hardcore mode anyway!
- Small tweaks that make the less convenient and awkward parts of Minecraft more intuitive and comfy.
- Fun floaty animations in the inventory that... may or may not have you flailing your sword and lapis around in the UI for hours. I'm not responsible if you do, but hope you enjoyed it!
- Powerful Magic Wands with varying effects and a quest just to recharge them!
- Ritually-crafted arcane lanterns!
- My favorite part: Making pets immortal through respawning! Never lose your dog to the fires of the Nether (at least not permanently) ever again!
- This modpack is ever going to be updated in an ongoing but very fun attempt to make Minecraft better and better through additions and tweaks without changing what makes it... Minecraft at its core. And I'm enjoying every step of it so far.
