There are 400+ mods so the modpack is quite large. For some reason there MineColonies mod is not included even though the modpack description lists it. The game crashed when trying to create a new world for the first time, and in my opinion the texture pack makes everything look worse than in vanilla minecraft. The quest book is not ready either, as it only has a few mods now. Maybe the pack will be updated into a full and functional experience, but it is not that yet.

🌍 Our Story: Earth

A vast survival adventure where every journey leads somewhere new.

You begin in a familiar Minecraft world, but the horizon quickly reveals something much larger.

Mountains rise above the clouds. Forests change with the seasons. Forgotten ruins emerge between valleys. Villages become sprawling settlements, oceans conceal ancient structures, and distant portals lead toward places that were never meant to be found easily.

Our Story: Earth expands Minecraft without replacing the freedom at its core. There is no single path and no imposed role. You decide whether your story begins with exploration, construction, farming, treasure hunting, combat or a quiet settlement shared with friends.

Leave home with an empty backpack, return with artifacts and stories, improve your equipment, expand your base, then prepare for the next expedition.

📌 Earth 1 Final Release

The currently available modpack is Our Story: Earth v12.9 for Minecraft 1.21 with Fabric.

This final version was released on March 5, 2025.

No additional content updates are currently planned for Earth 1.

Earth 2 is a separate future project. Its early concept preview is hidden near the bottom of this page and does not represent the currently downloadable modpack.

🧭 A World Made for Exploration

Earth was built for players who enjoy choosing a direction and discovering what waits beyond the next mountain.

The Overworld has been reshaped with larger continents, dramatic mountain ranges, deep valleys, volcanic regions, colourful forests, wetlands, expanded caves and many other environments. Several terrain and biome systems work together to create a world that remains recognisably Minecraft while constantly offering new landscapes.

The scenery is not empty.

Travelling across Earth can lead you to abandoned camps, villages, taverns, towers, capitals, castles, underground ruins, temples, strongholds, ocean settlements and enormous dungeons. Some locations provide shelter or valuable loot. Others are occupied by creatures that would rather keep their treasures.

The Nether and End have also been extensively transformed with new terrain, structures, resources and reasons to continue exploring after the traditional vanilla progression.

Additional realms and unusual destinations provide even more places to discover when the Overworld can no longer contain your curiosity.

📖 Build Your Own Progression

Earth does not force every player through the same rigid questline.

More than 130 custom quests provide optional direction across the major stages of the adventure. They introduce early survival, resource gathering, agriculture, wealth, Nether exploration and the progression surrounding mythical metals.

These quests can serve as a guide when you need an objective, but they never replace the freedom of the sandbox.

You can follow the intended progression, complete objectives while naturally exploring or ignore the quest book entirely and create your own goals.

The core loop remains simple:

Explore. Discover. Return stronger. Expand. Travel farther.

⚔️ Dungeons, Bosses and Dangerous Encounters

Not every structure was built to welcome travellers.

Earth fills its world with hostile ruins, underground complexes, powerful creatures, elite enemies and major boss encounters. Some challenges can be discovered during ordinary exploration, while others require preparation, specialised equipment or access to distant dimensions.

The journey to the End has also been expanded. Reaching the End Portal is no longer only about collecting Eyes of Ender. Exploration becomes part of the progression, encouraging you to visit different environments and structures before confronting the final dimension.

Inside the End, the adventure continues through transformed terrain, larger structures and a more dangerous dragon encounter.

Combat is supported by new weapons, shields, armour, metals, accessories and artifacts. Rare equipment can be found through exploration, crafted from advanced resources or earned by defeating powerful enemies.

You are free to prepare carefully.

The dungeon is considerably less interested in your preparation.

🏡 Create a World Worth Returning To

Adventure may take you across the world, but Earth also gives you countless reasons to build a place you are happy to return to.

Create a small cabin beside a seasonal forest, restore an abandoned settlement, construct a medieval fortress, establish a coastal town or develop a large multiplayer community.

The pack includes an extensive collection of furniture, roofs, bridges, windows, doors, lighting, paths, walls and decorative block variants. These additions provide more creative freedom while preserving the visual identity of Minecraft.

Farming and cooking have also been expanded with new crops, ingredients, fish and meals. Build a simple kitchen, operate a large farm, create organised food storage or turn agriculture into the economic foundation of your settlement.

Your base can grow naturally alongside your adventure instead of becoming a warehouse containing forty-seven mysteriously unlabelled chests.

💎 Discover New Equipment and Treasures

Earth extends survival progression far beyond iron, diamond and Netherite.

New ores and mythical metals can be discovered across the world and its dimensions. These resources unlock additional tools, weapons, armour and specialised equipment for exploration or combat.

Artifacts and accessories provide useful abilities without forcing the modpack into a heavy magic system. Rare discoveries may improve movement, survival, mining or combat and can become permanent parts of your character's equipment.

Collectors can also search for trophies, mob drops and unusual objects throughout the world.

Some treasures are crafted.

Others must be taken from places that strongly disagree with the concept of shared ownership.

🌾 Live in the World

Earth is not only about rushing from one boss to another.

Seasons alter the atmosphere of the world. Leaves fall from trees, weather changes the landscape, animals populate different environments and ambient sounds react to your surroundings.

Villages feel more alive through expanded settlements, guards, named inhabitants and improved trading tools. Wildlife and creature variants add more diversity to forests, oceans, mountains and settlements.

Fishing, farming, cooking, building and collecting can become full playstyles rather than brief distractions between combat encounters.

You can spend an entire session exploring a dungeon.

You can also spend it redesigning a kitchen because the previous placement of one cabinet became emotionally unacceptable.

Both are valid progression.

🎶 A More Immersive Experience

Earth includes a complete visual and audio presentation designed to make exploration feel more atmospheric.

Improved animations give players and creatures more natural movement. Environmental sound simulation creates echoes inside caves and enclosed structures. Ambient audio, falling leaves, particles and seasonal effects help each biome feel distinct.

Several shader options and visual resource packs are included for players who want a more cinematic experience. These remain optional and can be adjusted or disabled depending on your hardware.

A third-person camera, enhanced interfaces, detailed tooltips and improved inventory information make both exploration and everyday gameplay easier to follow.

🎒 Designed for Long Adventures

Large survival worlds require more than additional biomes and enemies.

Earth includes integrated tools for:

  • Mapping explored regions and marking important locations
  • Travelling between established destinations
  • Carrying equipment through expandable backpacks
  • Recovering items after death
  • Organising large storage systems
  • Comparing weapons, armour and tools
  • Viewing recipes and possible loot
  • Protecting land and managing teams
  • Sharing structure loot fairly in multiplayer

These systems reduce unnecessary friction without removing the importance of exploration, preparation and survival.

👥 Built for Solo and Multiplayer

Earth can be played as a complete singleplayer adventure or as a shared multiplayer world.

Teams can claim and protect their territory, communicate through proximity voice chat, establish shops and share discoveries across the world.

Multiplayer-friendly loot systems allow different players to explore the same structures without every chest being permanently emptied by the first person who arrives.

Integrated administration, backup and performance tools also make the pack suitable for persistent community servers.

A dedicated server pack is available from the project files.

✨ The Earth Experience

Our Story: Earth brings together:

  • A transformed world built for long-distance exploration
  • More than 130 optional custom quests
  • Dungeons, ruins, settlements and large structures
  • Expanded Nether, End and dimensional progression
  • Bosses, elite enemies and dangerous encounters
  • New metals, artifacts, equipment and rewards
  • Farming, cooking, fishing and settlement building
  • Seasons, ambient wildlife and immersive sound
  • Extensive decoration and construction options
  • Multiplayer claiming, voice chat, shops and shared loot
  • Optional shaders and visual enhancements
  • A complete performance and stability suite

Earth is not about finishing a checklist as quickly as possible.

It is about creating a world filled with places you remember, structures you built, enemies you defeated and journeys that became part of your own story.

Earth 2 Dimensions and Bosses

## Dimensions and Bosses Venture across vast dimensions. Soar through the floating islands of the Deep Aether, wander through the enchanted woods of the Twilight Forest, uncover the hostile swamps of the Undergarden, brave the enormous honeycomb walls of the Bumblezone, descend into Deeper and Darker and explore the celestial landscapes of Eternal Starlight. The original concept also includes cosmic mysteries through Stellarity and potential planetary expeditions to Uranus, Jupiter and Deimos through a future space progression system. The Nether and End would be completely reimagined with new landscapes, hazards and structures. Each realm would provide unique challenges such as frozen temples, lava cataclysms, sky fortresses and labyrinthine caverns. Boss encounters considered for the project include the Harbinger, Ignis, the Ender Golem, Frostmaw, the Ferrous Wroughtnaut and several mutant or dimensional creatures. Defeating these enemies would unlock rare rewards, new research paths and additional questlines. ---

Earth 2 World and Exploration

## World and Exploration The Earth 2 Overworld is intended to provide a more vibrant and diverse world through large biome collections and extensive environmental detail. MineColonies would provide a long-term settlement system where players could: * Recruit and manage workers * Construct specialised buildings * Expand resource production * Defend the colony against raids * Develop a functioning settlement and economy Dynamic environments, wildlife, seasons, falling leaves and realistic soundscapes would help every settlement feel connected to the surrounding world. ---

Earth 2 Technology and Building

Players would begin with mechanical contraptions, farms and processing systems before advancing into larger factories and industrial networks. Potential systems include: * Mechanical production through Create * Automated farming and food processing * Oritech multiblock machinery * Applied Energistics 2 digital storage * Automated crafting and logistics * Large resource processing networks ## ✨ Artifacts and Light Magic Earth 2 is not intended to focus on large traditional magic systems. Instead, mystical progression would come from rare relics, enchanting systems, artifacts and rewards discovered through exploration. ## 🏗️ Creative Building The concept includes extensive collections of furniture, roofs, walls, statues, detailed textures and decorative blocks. Players would have the tools required to create colonies, factories, medieval settlements or highly detailed personal bases. ---

Earth 2 Immersion and Quality of Life

## Immersion and Quality of Life The original Earth 2 concept also includes: * A dynamic third-person camera * Improved HUD and interface information * Quest and skill tracking * Enhanced trader dialogue * Physical sound simulation * Ambient environmental audio * Improved player and creature animations * Additional particles and status effects * Fast travel through Waystones * Expandable backpacks and storage * Integrated recipe navigation * A complete performance optimisation suite Earth 2 remains a long-term concept.
