Permafrost - Eyes of the Storm

The world is dead.

It's been about a week since the Storm began, and it hasn't shown any signs of stopping. You're beginning to think it'll never let up.

And you're correct. It never will. This is the Permafrost. The end of everything. The entire world has been frozen over, and as far as you know, everything else is dead.

There's no stopping it. The Permafrost is a primal force of nature, one that struck without warning and killed everything that it could touch. For now, all you can do is survive, and hope that one day the storm passes.

Welcome to the apocalypse.

Welcome to Permafrost, folks. This little thing has been my passion project for the past five months at this point... and, at long last, it's here. The first installation of Eyes of the Storm, and my first REAL modpack, Permafrost is a hardcore apocalypse-survival modpack, that pits you against... well... The Permafrost. With an absolutely brutal temperature system, an all new cast of mobs to deal with, and a world that turns everything you know about Minecraft and its most popular mods completely on its head... you're going to need to use every single tool at your disposal in order to not just survive, but thrive in this frigid wasteland.

Permafrost, at its core, is meant to be a unique experience, which forces you to use all of the resources that you have at your disposal, along with your creativity, to survive in a unique and terrifying world. With resource based combat, an all new consecration mechanic that forces you to utilize fire in order to properly damage your frigid foes, and an all new cast of mobs with properties completely unique to Permafrost, it'll be a constant struggle for survival as you work to reclaim a piece of the world for yourself.

In your fight for survival, you'll learn the story of your dying world, what it was like before the Storm... and what caused the Storm in the first place. With nearly 200 quests, a main storyline that forces you to foray into the storm in search of answers, a miniboss generator that creates unique tragic undead foes for you to encounter, and so much more, Permafrost aims to tell a unique, player-driven story, reminiscent of long-ago packs like Blightfall. I could gush for hours upon hours about how much of a blast creating Permafrost's strange story was, with the mediums that I chose to use... but I'll save you the ramble. I put a lot of heart into this little thing... so I really do hope you enjoy it. Have fun out there, folks.
