Description

Welcome to my Personal Favorites from 1.7.10!

As Mods evolved, things changed in later versions and some well liked or disliked features came and went. Some Mods did not make it to the newer versions of Minecraft, some I really enjoyed. I missed some of the Mod Experiences of the Past and set out to re-create a pack I had cobbled together years ago. Thankfully most of those Mods made it here.

These are the Mods my Son's and I have played for quite some time. These are a Collection of Mods that encourage Exploration, have ways to Automate the Grind and enjoy an Enhanced and Magical Minecraft Experience. There are a large variety of plants to discover, farms to make, Birds and Butterflies to collect in addition to all the Vanilla things, Enjoy!

Yes, still playing 1.7.10 to this date October 2020. I do enjoy playing the "Vintage" versions.

ModPack Notes:  (These are my personal observations/tips based on playtesting)

Included this Section due to the vast popularity of Shaders and Optifine

FastCraft and Optifine only work together on Optifine Versions (1.7.10 HD U D1 and Earlier; These are Versions Pre-ShadersMod being merged into Optifine). I Noticed NO FPS difference between FastCraft and Optifine either as Stand Alone or when together in the versions already listed. This Changed when FastCraft Updated to 1.25 - More FPS and Way Smoother even without Optifine and it Works well with Later/Newer Optifine Versions such as the one I use (Listed Below)

Thaumcraft uses shaders and it has been my experience that when using Optifine and Shaders, Aura Nodes become clearly visible. (Not the case with the Two Shaders listed here)

The flowing water the Streams Mod brings in world are not altered by Shaders, this makes for odd visuals when the stream is transiting elevation changes in world. (See the Images Tab)

I do not run Optifine and/or Shaders all the time, when I do:

Optifine_1.7.10_HD_UE7 with Either of these Two Very Excellent Shaders - BSL 7.2 or projectLUMA1.32

TPS/FPS and Lag; It's a real thing. Build too many things (Like processing Factories) too close together and you will notice TPS/FPS issues. My rule of thumb for this is to have multiple areas to spread out the Modded goodness. An area for Magic, and area for Tech and so on. A good distance is 500 Blocks apart, out of render distance and chunk loading-unloading. Another thing is to only turn on the machines as they are needed. There are many ways to achieve acceptable results.

ARS Magica 2 Essence pools generate frequently, there is Odd rendering, as if you are not in a liquid (when you go into a 2 block deep pool no Oxygen Bubbles). I Figure this is a visual/fluid bug, it does not take away from gameplay, the source blocks are still there. If there is a way to Reduce the Spawn Rate of the Essence Pools - I know not what that is

In this ModPack, config files are Unaltered. However, due to Recipe Conflicts I have included the MineTweakerRecipeMaker Script I have Generated (Feel Free to just make your own)

Additionally, I do Edit the Thaumcraft Config to reduce the Taint Biomes and Set Taint Spread to Zero (Taint is a Bad Thing No Need to Over do it - I have NOT included this but I am only Sharing)
