Description

Modpack is in BETA, WIP

Temp description, going to make banner art and page art.

Welcome Acolyte!  your path begins here..

The arts await discovery, chalk circles, floric mana, rituals of meat spoken about in hushed tones, beings from beyond watching and waiting...

Gameplay overview

PotDA is a magic/adventure pack with "lighter" horror themes were items actually matter, automation has costs (MEAT) and mobs are threatening but not op. inspired by the likes of Raspberry Flavored, Rebirth of the night and the modpacks of old like Hexxit/Resonant Rise, ive attempted to create a balance between magic, survival and a more "sandbox esque" approach to progression.

Progression and major changes

Fights are difficult and you will need to specialize your gear, most mobs have a weakness or counter of some form, The undead for example are weak to silver and fire alongside smite.

Enchanting is no longer random, instead you will need to find a enchanting book and learn the recipe, it is also available much earlier than normal.

Survival can be rough as temperature and seasons change, (usually this is frustrating so i have balanced it around specific gearsets and greenhouses)

Dimension have new ways to access them, flying high into the sky will lead you to paradise while blowing a hole in bedrock will lead you to the nether, you can make portals to fast travel but it will be easier once you have visited once.

Pick an Origin and starting loadout, a soft RP entry into the world. (WIP)

Horror without cheese?!, Many monsters roam the night, some more dangerous than the others and have very creepy behaviors, but critically. do not oneshot, or have no purpose in the world.

Decoration and furniture, Minecraft is about Mining, Crafting, Adventuring and Building, cant have a modpack without extra decor!

Sleep is no longer at a whim, you will get tired over time (or with certain potions) letting you sleep through the night (or day?!), get too tired though and phantoms may start harassing your farm..

Armor has a purpose, each set has its own strengths and weaknesses (WIP) and can be further customized with a more granular enchanting system and effectual trims.

Key mods

The wonderful magic mods Bewitchment, Botania, Malum and Affinity provide various "arts" to learn

A dark path into Automation lies through Neepmeat, will you be taken by the machine? or resist temptation?

Thanks to Combat Noveu and Good Old Regen, fights are hectic and unforgiving

Consecration for undead bane mechanics.

Enchanting system overhaul for the new enchanting table

Paradise Lost for their wonderful skylands dimension and various tools/armor

Origins, to spice up common parts of gameplay

Dimensional Doors, for the randomized liminal dungeons!

Handcrafted and "Another Furniture" for the wonderful furniture!

Whisperwoods for their wondeful spooky bois.
