Prior Extinction v3 BETA
- OPTIFINE is highly recommended for the client-side mods found in PRIOR EXTINCTION and high-end devices.
OPTIFINE for 1.12.2 can be installed here
- ESSENTIALS and BISECT HOSTING are recommended to be used if hosting a server is desired.

PRIOR EXTINCTION is only compatible with FORGE version 2860. No other versions are supported due to certain exploits.

It all started when I was wandering across Youtube, and I stumbled upon a video of a person playing a modpack which includes a Jurrasic Park mod and some other tech mods. I really liked the concept and wanted to test it for myself, but unfortunately, he was gatekeeping the modpack he made*, and I was unable to find any information about the modpack and the comments weren't helping either. So I did what any normal person would do and made a not-so-one-to-one version of the modpack. First I tought it turned out great, but slowly realised that I had made the modpack A LITTLE more difficult, so difficult that this modpack took me 3 months to put together, and another 4 MONTHS for me to beat it. So if you like unfairly difficult modpacks, this one's just for you.

- BIOME: The biome you spawn in chooses your fate. Because of PRIOR EXTINCTION's temperature and thirst mods, you will likely die if the biome isn't right. You will also have problems with plain and open biomes. Altough plain areas have little much carnivores in them, your house or even you can get stomped on and crushed by a large herbivore. But if you spawn in a open area with no trees to guard you from large predators, weak and small herbivores around and a hot temperature, good luck.
- SEASONS: The winter doesn't bring joy in this modpack. It brings a pack of bloodthirsty furry friends, a freezing temperature and some mammoths that will protect "their" property. The fall doesn't bring falling leaves, it brings bears from their slumber, hungry life-sized predators and meteors. We all know what happens in summer. But, you are actually A LITTLE more safe on spring, which is a newly created world's first season.
- THIEVES: Do NOT leave your chest, barrel whatever you use to store your items in OUTSIDE. As some slick lizard thieves will steal them and you won't be seeing those items again.
- EXPLORING: Hey, why the long face? There's still good in this modpack. although building one small base in a day before the monsters come is almost impossible in this modpack, you can still find ruins or structures that will shield you from predators and harsh weather.
