About
Description
This modpack adds tons of content while still trying to provide a decent vanilla-hard like challange. Overpowered enchantments or spells are disabled or nerfed.
Challenges/Settings
Villagers
Villagers cannot bread nor can they switch profession once they have one. This makes villagers very valuable and gives players incentive to find more villagers in the world. Some villages are overrun and will only have enemy mobs. Sometimes villagers can be found outside of villages like on boats.
Healing from food
Start off with more hp than usual. However regeneration by food is very slow. Healing can be done through sleeping, spells and potions.
Reviving
If you die, you will enter a dying state from which you can be revived or, if you have enough xp, can try to self revive at the cost of some levels. The revival of another player will reward the savior some xp.
Dying
When you do die a totem of holding will retain your items. If you die again before retrieving your last totem, the previous totem will be destroyed, dropping the items on the floor.
Day cycle
A day will take 16 minutes. The night takes 9 minutes. Sleep to speed up the time.
Bed Comfort
Sleep to recover hp at the cost of food saturation. Sleeping in a familiar area will allow for better sleeping quality just as sleeping in a better bed does.
Waystones
Waystones can be found or crafted. Traveling cost are fixed regardless of distance. However traveling to another dimension will cost more xp. For shorter distances it might be better to use a good old horse to get around.
How to enable shaders
This modpack comes with Complementary shaders installed which makes the game look fantastic. The shader settings are not forced with updates. This means that players can have their own settings.
to Enable/disable:
- Go to Options > Video settings > Shader packs
- Select shader and make sure shaders are enabled or disabled
- press Apply or Done
Content
- Hourglass
Change day and night cycle timings in config. This modpack's default is set to 15 minute day and 9 minute night. Night skipping happens when all players sleep for 30 seconds. This makes it not too easy to always skip the night so that it would never be dark. But still possible to skip the night. - Farming and cooking
Croptopia and farmers delight add lots of extra ways to make highly saturated food. More effect means better food. Also there are some addons for farmers delight like for example ends delight which adds some interesting food. - Raw's Aircraft
Create airplanes or even a helicopter to quickly get to your destinations. Beware though flying can be a risky business to those without training. - Lots of animals and enemy mobs
- Better combat
This mod makes combat in minecraft much more realistic and enjoyable. Its a real gamechanger.
- Biomes
Lots of biomes to explore with Oh the biomes you'll go. Makes exploring the world very worth while. - Journeymap
Adds a map to add waypoints and show yourself and other players's location. Mapping is done in a small radius so that it does not discover the world before you see it yourself. - Spells
Adds most combat spells from iron's spellbooks. Does not add transportation spells in order to not make other means of transportation, like elytra or a horse, obsolete. - City building
Build a beautiful living city with minecolonies - Contraptions
Create even more interesting contraptions with immersive engineering and Red power. - Small ships
Build small ships and explore the oceans with it. It has more seats and some have lots of inventory space. - Backpack
Adds sophisticated backpacks with a decent amount of holding space. It can hold a 3x3 crafting upgrade. Not all upgrades are enabled by default as to not make having a great storage system at home obsolete. - Potion Brewing
Daves potioneering makes brewing less of a hassle. You can brew more potions at a time and adds some extra uses. - Epic knights
Adds a lot of medieval era armor and weapons. - Improved Keybinding
- Autopickup toggleable
