This modpack adds tons of beautiful content while still providing an actual challenge in beating the game. Great for single player, but also a lot of fun with friends. In fact, working toghether may be really helpful.

Notable Challenges

Torches

Torches are no longer the best lighting method. They can burn out over a long time and when in rain they burn out faster.

Villagers

Villagers breeding is possible but slower. Villager breeding is no longer exponentionally fast because the amount of babies and villagers in the area limit the breeding of the villagers. This makes every villagers life more valueable. Only unemployed villagers will take up a new profession.

Animal breeding

Animals need there space. Therefore their ability to breed is dependent on the amount of the same animals in the vicinity. Make sure to make your cow pens large enough to let them breed.

Crops

Crops grow way slower than vanilla. A five by five strip of wheat is probably not going to cut it.

Health and food

Start off with more hp than usual. However regeneration by food is very slow. Healing can be done through sleeping, spells and potions. Sleeping in a fancy bed will result in better sleep quality.

Eating the same items over and over will give diminishing returns. As wel as eating not enough different items in general. This incentivises players to find different ways to get more food.

Reviving

If you die, you will enter a dying state from which you can be revived or, if you have enough xp you can try to self revive at the cost of some levels. Other players can try to revive you as wel at no cost of xp. The revival of another player will reward the savior with some experience.

After a succesfull revive the player has a cooldown indicated by a little wither skeleton icon net to the hotbar. When the cooldown is active, the player will not be entering the dying state.

Dangerous waters

Carefull entering water for all kind of dangerous sea creatures lurk in the waters.

Shaders

This modpack comes with Complementary shaders installed and configured which makes the game look fantastic. The shader settings are not forced with updates. This means that players can have their own settings.

to Enable/disable:

1. Go to Options > Video settings > Shader packs
2. Select the complementary shader and make sure shaders are enabled

Explore and find a lot of beautiful and different biomes with a lot of different animal species to find. 

Utilities | Quality of life

A lot of quality of life and performance mods.

Enchantments | Spells

This makes it not too easy to always skip the night so that it would never be dark. But still possible to skip the night. 

Food

Craft a lot of different foods with farmers delight mod.

City building

Minecolonies to build a large and living city.

Medieval

Epic knights adds a lot of medieval style weapons and armor to the game. Also find dangerous knights castles and outpost from the mod Valarian Conquest.

Mobs

Expect a lot of different dangerous mobs trying to stop you from progressing or finishing the game.

End Dragon

The end dragon fight is a lot harder. Can you beat it?

Spells

Iron's spellbooks provides you with a lot of combat spells. Transport spells are not included to not make the elytra obsolete. To fly, one still needs to go to the end for the elytra.

Item pickup

Tired of an overfull inventory? Try advanced item pickup feature to disable the pickup of certain items. Or disable item pickup completely.
